Because Kakashi is a giant dumbass who seeminly wanted to pawn Naruto off on someone else so he could exclusively train the Village's precious Uchiha so he didn't get killed. Nevermind the fact that Naruto will be fighting a guy that could very easily kill him by simply touching him in the right places and who has already tried to kill his own cousin. Nah, fuck Naruto, he doesn't need Kakashi's help at all and he'll be totally fine.
