i think your underestimating how op sage mod + a byakugan would be, remember, sage chakra + someone who is not a sage = getting turned to stone, meaning someone with both sage mod and a byakugan could literally just turn someone to stone by touching them. (unless the person is a sage)

As other people have pointed out, the simple solution to attaching Naruto to the Hyuga clan is to make one of his grandparents a Hyuga. Personally, I'd go with one of Kushina's parents mostly because the Byakugan and associated skillset synergizes pretty well with the Uzumaki sealing jutsus. For example, let's say that the Hyuga was Kushina's father (hereafter known as John). John was a branch house member who fought alongside/saved an Uzumaki Clan member. John Hyuga was kind of a maverick (or outcast depending on who you're talking to), and one thing lead to another, so John wanted to marry the Uzumaki kunoichi that he had saved and who had neutralized his curse mark. The main house wasn't super thrilled about it, but weren't going to poke the bear that could release all their slave soldiers over one slave soldier. So John marries into the Uchiha clan and some time later Kushina is born with or without Byakugan (maybe it skips a generation).

I can see the Fourth Hokage being an extremely distant blood cousin. However seeing as his genes so closely align with the Namikaze family rather than the Hyūga family his Byakugan never activated. Genetics play a crucial role in what color your eyes will be. It’s true that blue eyes are a recessive gene but we don’t know if blue eyes are common in the Namikaze clan. If they are then Minato would have a strong recessive gene for blue eyes. He lost the roll of the die for the pupilless eyes of the Hyūga while Naruto won said die roll.

Imagine combining the principles of 8 trigrams rotation and rasengan. This makes me think that the rasen-shuriken wouldn't exist as we know it. Uzumakis are close relatives of Hyuga’s if we’re being totally technical. The best thing I can say for Naruto somehow gaining the doujutsu is the genes somehow being awakened within Naruto, there’s also a possibility of the gene being present from a distant relative on either parents side.

It's more than likely that Minato's mom was a Hyuuga while his dad was a Namikaze. I mean, just look at Boruto and Himawari, they have blue eyes despite their mom being a Hyuuga. My theory for why Naruto is a hyuuga in this timeline. Kushina’s parents are an uzumaki and a hyuuga. However it just happens that the uzumaki genes beat the snot out of the hyuuga genes so they became recessive. And down minato’s lineage somewhere his ancestor got with a hyuuga clan member, thus resulting in the gene being recessive there also. Naruto in this time line got genetic luck(or I guess bad luck) in the genetic lottery.

i heard a fan theory a while ago that the namikaze clan was originally branched off from the hyuga but due to the mixing of bloodlines, they lost the capacity to awaken the byakugan, so i guess you could go with that as to why naruto is a hyuga. maybe the presence of ashuras chakra reawakened the byakugan within his bloodline since ashura is closely related to hamura. it would then change nothing except for naruto being a hyuga.

after the battle with kaguya, Naruto will fight Sasuke but naruto never lost his hand. Because he over powered Sasuke. So when it comes to fight Isshiki Otsutsuki, Naruto never had to us the baryon mode. He can just seal Isshiki Otsutsuki. And use his tensegan and the six paths yin and yang release seal. Hence we would never get to se the blue baryon mode :(, but Kurama would never had died. And we don't know the Full potential of tensegan as it is almost equal to rennegan, so it would have some unique abilitiy.
