So far I like this series. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If you ever remake one of your older CE videos you should incorporate The Flood book and Fireteam Raven into the story. That would be interesting.

That’s great to hear. Good luck with that however far in the future it may be. I’m sure it will turn out well like the others have. Plus, by then you’ll probably figure out how to iron out the rough edges (minor flaws here and there. Luckily they don’t really drag down the experience. The things are still mostly good). Speaking of utilizing ideas from The Flood book and Fireteam Raven for the Halo show instead of doing whatever their dumpster fire was they should’ve made a mini series that juggled the plots of CE, Fireteam Raven, and The Flood. The different perspectives would’ve allowed for them to show off how the different sides viewed the conflict and their roles in it. If they wanted to explore the character’s origins/past they could’ve had flashbacks to stuff like Reach the game/Fall of Reach, Contact Harvest, and some other things (there’s also some genuinely interesting lore for the different characters in Fireteam Raven. But sadly since it was an on rails shooter none of the cool details were communicated through the game). In terms of tones they’d be able to have over the top action sequences with Chief, the occasional lighthearted moments, and a serious/gritty war movie tone for most of the thing. If they were to keep the idea for the different universe that would work if they made it as faithful to the lore as possible while making some changes for the sake of adaptation. This would be stuff like making connections where originally there were none, changing the order of certain events for the sake of pacing/flow, and adding some elements from the others books/games (having a few Phantoms appear sparingly, having Skirmishers in the early parts of the season but they’d disappear as things went on, and weapons/vehicles seen in the other media to make the conflict feel more fleshed out). If that were to do well they could’ve then made a season 2 that used the alternate universe as a way to tell the original story for Halo 2 (if you haven’t watched the animated Halo 2 storyboards you NEED to. They’re really interesting. Some changes in retail were for the best, while others dragged down the story. Perhaps the biggest missed opportunity was how in the original confrontation with Truth it’s revealed he knew all along what the Rings would do and actually had a good reason for plunging his empire into chaos and killing off the other Hierarchs. The Arbiter would also remove his helmet and throw it on the ground rejecting the title that Truth gave him showing his no longer a puppet. After deactivating the array and the Ark located on earth begins to fall apart Guilty Spark takes Arbiter to the Data Vault where a Forerunner skeleton is found inside this sarcophagus. The Forerunner was influencing humanity throughout our development. There were also subtle hints to this like how human architecture was starting to look suspiciously Forerunner, Forerunner constructs refer to humans as Reclaimers and they can activate the technology, the Ark was also located in East Africa where modern humans originated some 100,000 years ago. I doubt this could be any more blatant than if I outright told you the connection). Just imagine how much better that would’ve been than what we actually got. Sadly, we don’t live in a world where things make sense. What do you think of this idea?

They already had different perspectives for the show, it should just not have focused on Qwan and Soren IMO, chief, and the crew of the pillar, imagine each mission being its own episode from CE. Although the silver timeline is currently thoroughly fuckkkkked, I think there could be a salvageable show still in there. There is clearly some people working in this show that have a huge passion for the Series, and theres others who I HOPE have learned from their mistakes with Season 1. The "Forerunners=Human" always bothered me to be honest, its so cliche, but its certainly NOT the worst they couldve done.

@@IvanicohG Yes i do! I tent to rewatch them because i like hearing your videos as background music, and then rewatch more specific parts i didn't catch up at first. I loved the inclusion of Mobuto, even for a regular human marine, he was a badass and liked a lot how is portrayed here. We never get to see part of his personality if i remember correctly, so this take of him being skilled, smart and charismatic as a halo CE marines was a blast. I really like how you balance the good things that happens with other bad stuff, because of the change. Give me Butterfly effects vibes in how some situations are better and other are worse, and those changes have consequences. Like how Vergil dies this time around (which is a shame, but is totally understandable since he wasn't free yet), at the cost of the superintended being intact. And the Virgil subroutine is evolved from cortana, and then from the forerunner tech (don't know if it was intentional, but i recently started to dig into the old bungie game marathon, and that sort of evolution remind me so much of the story in those games). I like your explanation of the battle in the 05 installation of delta halo, it was creative and well put together. I love how both Keyes cooperate and work on its own, kind of taking the best of both and none of the bad. With the father being essentially the equivalent of Cole, in similar levels of strategic mind but on different ways based on their experience and encounters. My only dislike would that, it feels weird to see planes and ovnis use to represent the ships. I think using PNGs of the ships models would have been a better idea for the immersion part. Nonetheless, you did an excellent job over here. There is much more i like to talk about, but i think this comment is already long enough XD.

talk away my dude, Reading the comments and replying to them brings me so much joy. to get people's attention into something they enjoy. Yea i probably should have gotten some pics of the ships as PNGs since thats the route i took, but I dont wanna take assets from others. Theres some really good youtubers, model creators, and such that put so much work into making those, and me ripping off any of them even a bit would make me feel awful and like a loser. Unfortunately for me, when it comes to art i have no skill and no intuition for it.

@@IvanicohG I got you my friend, and i totally understand you on that part, as ripping and stealing content without permission is off the limits. But If you need, i can make pngs from screentshots and/or any ingame pictures you have. I personally done my own from my video material thanks to shotchut and other editing photo apps, like the gold medal of my xcom 2 series. It's not really that difficult, it takes a bit of time depending on the screenshot in question but it's really worth it. Just get me a good angle from the footage use in the video, and I can do the magic (for example, if you look at my video thumbnails, almost all if not most of them are done by my own material). And don't feel like a loser, i was pretty pathetic myselft when i first started (i had some horrible quality videos i am even working to redo in order to fix them XD). But with time, patience and help, you can do wonderful and incredible things. Just recently i manage to create a preview and a few minor stuff for a new small xcom 2 mod. As i said before, you can contact my through discord as is the easiest way one for me for those types of collabs. I will later leave a comment (maybe separated from this or on another one), so i can talk freely about all the things i love from this video. Mostly because there is a lot to say and my time is somewhat tight, so that way i can refresh and catch up a few things i couldn't because i got distracted or forget due to other stuff happening.
