When the sun goes to the phase of 'red giant' consuming all other planets near it, considering it takes ang long time in order for it to become a light dwarf to dark dwarf. Wouldnt it create a new 'space' (just like where earth is located to support life) and transform other existing planets to an habbitable one?

Hello, re-watching these videos and I just have a question.. Do we have a clue of how the Black Dwarf's surface will be? Will it be gas-style or solid? Will humans be able to visit a Black Dwarf in the far future, or is there any information that would change things dramatically? Will we be able to even walk there or try to win something of that situation? And last question, is there any way to revive a black dwarf into a bright star again? You may answer to me here or.. maybe that's a story for another What If?! Keep up the great work guys, incredible videos!

They would likely be frozen solid and it is possible to heal a black dwarf if we could merge them to heat them up, but with no humans or civilisations it would be very, very rare. Also if someone walked on one their feet would likely instantly go numb. (This is not scientifically proven and I got this info from you tube and google).

3:24 “it’s mass would stay the same, meaning that its gravitational pull would remain unchanged” I feel doubt when the big pulling mass (M) is the main coefficient in the Force=mGM/r^2…even if we say M=density*volume it still doesn’t make my doubt go away. Why not just change out the M directly for density? Which would change the big G units so call it G’…..of course none of what I’m supposing has probably NEVER been empirically found… but follow along: F= mg = m (density*G’/r^2)

Asking "what if our sun became a black dwarf" is like asking, "what if all humans eventually die, no matter what" or "what if you needed oxygen to live." There is no 'what if' about it. There is a 100 percent chance our sun will eventually become a black dwarf. (Outside of a rogue black hole or neutron star eating it up.)

Well, I think there's only one imprecise information in this video: that outer solar system planets will keep orbiting the sun after it's red giant phase as if nothing happened at all. Thing is, the remaining mass of a star like ours after it's red giant phase is projected to be 20 to 30% of the initial gathering from the 'mother' nebula at most, which is the mass of it's core throughout it's life. So, when our sun hurls away it's outer layers - which will become another bright, beautiful nebula that we won't be here to see - when it hits the white dwarf phase it will be waving goodbye to it's 'family' altogether.
