What If Plo Koon Became Grand Master During the Clone Wars

Master Plo Koon was one of the most respected members on the High Council. What would've happened if Plo became Grand Master of the Jedi Order? How would he ascend to the rank of Grand Master? Would he be able to save the Jedi from the Clone Wars? Or would it be too late to save the Jedi Order from their own complacency?

EDIT: Plo might be in the Acolyte Trailer!!!! I've seen some comments for Plo's Age today, here's where I got my numbers: Kel Dor have a typical lifespan of _65 Standard Years,_ with keenly force attuned members living up to 250 years . There is _no confirmed_ comparison of how long Kel Dor years are to Standard Years. Being that most of my videos run in the Canon timeline, I’m going to go off what we know about Plo Koon at this point. He has a Kel Dor age of 382 years old _(legends)_ but there is *nothing about him* from before Dooku’s birth (102 BBY) in either *Canon or Legends*. On top of that, Plo’s Master, Wookiee Jedi Tyvokka died in 44 BBY, the same year Plo became a Jedi Master (Legends). Because there is no sight of Plo in the High Republic & I have a hard time believing he would spend 382 years as a Jedi Padawan/Knight. Additionally there is very little information in canon of when he ascends to the Council or when he becomes a Master. We do know between TPM & AOTC he trains Bultar Swan & they talked about weather once lol. *P.S.:* I personally believe that for a Jedi like Plo it would do more for him to be younger - more feats in a shorter amount of time. If he were 382 years old, he'd contribute to the fall of the Jedi as much as Yaddle, Yoda, Yareal, & Oppo. With what we've seen from him, I don't necessarily see that as plausible. In April "The Living Force" releases & we'll have new information on the 12 members of the High Council! Hopefully we'll learn more about Plo from there!

Thank you for this wonderful story! I loved the directions you took with not only how Plo became Grand Master, but how his plan was enacted with both the Republic and the Confederation as well. The meetings with Padme and Mina was a nice touch as well as how Palpatine and Dooku were stalling the process. It was a wonderful political story that was as exciting as the duel between Sidius and Plo was near the end. On a personal note, thank you for including Oppo in as much as you did, he's one of my favorites. Thank you again for this story!

Spartans do not have a longer lifespan, that's never been confirmed by any canon sources, 343 or Bungie. Please stop spreading misinformation. The reason Spartans last as long as they do isn't some unique aging, it's just that they tend to spend years in cryo over the course of their lives. There's not even anything to suggest they have long lifespans - the last few games have actively pointed out how old chief is getting, and he's not even 50 yet. If he had a longer lifespan that would obviously not even be a plot point. Also, never bring up the halo TV show in a conversation as if it's a good thing, it's a disgrace to all halo fans.

My favorite prequel era jedi, with plo koons whole personality, perception on the force and his views on the jedi, i think this will be a good what if, or he could through a curve ball and make papls make this the most depressing one yet. What if Darth Zannah was a Jedi? Either she refrains from killing the Jedi who originally comes for her, or another Jedi takes her instead soon after, assuming Bane doesn't find her or a twin of some kind exists. She undergoes training until she becomes a Jedi Knight or perhaps even a Jedi Master. Then, she receives one of two visions. The first vision portrays Anakin or Luke as the chosen one. She believes in the prophecy and enters stasis, intending to train them to confront Palpatine during the Clone Wars or the time of the Empire. The second vision involves Palpatine himself, maybe as the Emperor. Believing that she is the chosen one due to this, she enters stasis until the Clone Wars, awakened by the Force or some other catalyst. To fight him herself. To maintain her characterization as the Zannah we know and love, she excels as a master of Form Three and is proficient in Jedi Alchemy or sorcery, perhaps even both. I think the second vision would make for a better story, as training Anakin/Luke videos are already abundant on your channel. ( Day Execute Order 66)

I'd love this, but.. The problem with Zannah is that she's stupid hard to write for. She basically only ever showed up in the Darth Bane story, and since she plays second fiddle for most of the time and doesn't really make her own decisions that often, it's kind of hard to have her stand on her own as a character. Definitely not impossible, but between that and the fact that she's a novel character that not much of the fan base recognizes compared to more popular characters, a Zannah video might underperform pretty hard. Could be totally wrong but I feel like any Bane focused video with Zannah just being in it would be easier and more popular. Bane showed up in a couple other places, at least.

Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories. Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself. What if anakin was a jedi watchmen or wayfinder. What if anakin went with kenobi to face maul and savage instead of adi gallia. What if anakin fell in love with luminara or your own version of aayla secura romance. What if oppo rancis trained anakin. i'm sure the next in line for grandmastership would be a toss up between Plo and Oppo Rancisis with their age and experience, respect and wisdom- yet if older age was not a requirement, Shaak Ti would be another consideration for just how she managed to steer an operation with millions of clone soldiers while being a high general and a council member- having been a council member for a decade already. She is also highly powerful, something which is an obvious requirement- and she is a calm, soft, diplomatic voice of reason- unlike Ki-adi-Mundi who seems very zealous and judgemental.

What if darth plagueis survived sidious attempt on his life, how would he go about getting renvege on sidious, would he attack sidious head on or would he go into hiding and gather allies like mother talzin, or dooku old padawn form the jango fett game her name escapes me or maybe he would find maul, save him and make him his new apprentice.

Great as always but one small issue, there is no way Plo vs Palpatine would end in favor to Plo. Yoda couldn't beat him and even Windu needed 3 master jedi shields to beat him, Plo would 100% die in this duel.

The 382 age is an offhand comment in a legends comic. I haven't been able to find anything with him from before 72 BBY in legends or canon. He's not in High Republic either

@@PentePatrolStarWars I see, and I respect that and the views you expressed in your initial comment. I myself was taken aback as well when I first learned of Plo Koon's legends age, I was against it at first just as I was against Chewbacca being 200, but both grew on me. I think Plo Koon being a wise, semi-old (in the context of jedi like Yoda) Jedi Master fits.

I must say I have lost interest in the new Star Wars content a while ago, but your videos provide a consistent flow of fun Star Wars adventures, which all have genuine heart behind them, which is something I really appreciate I get to experience again with Star Wars.
