He does all the time. He likes the prestige it gives him to be the on stressing out the boy who lives. He shared a room with Ginny growing up and had to listen to her constantly wanting to hear about the boy who lived. Molly wanted to adopt him when he was a baby and probably talked about him alot, since in her mind he avenged her brothers. It probably made him feel even more at odds with his family because he did not see Harry as a orphan who lost everything so that the world could be safe but as a spoiled brat that got everything handed to him on a silver platter. I even think that Molly was supplying love potion keyed to the Weasley clan to both Harry, and Hermione. She even tried to drug Tonks in that scene where she is giving her tea and trying to talk to her about Bill but Tonks is not drinking the tea she's only playing with it because she knows something off about it. Molly never stops giving Arthur love potion and Lucius isn't trying to be mean he's trying to wake the poor man up. I honestly think that Arthur and Lucius were friends at hogwarts like Lily and Snape. And that Arthur was supposed to be the one who was going to marry Andy until Molly started drugging him and Lucy was supposed to always marry Cissy so they would have been brothers in law.
