Now, I know that “what if” scenario I’m about to suggest isn’t exactly pleasant, but I’m quite curious on what type of drama you can muster up. “What if N didn’t reciprocate V’s feelings” if you want more context… (Nuzi doesn’t really have anything to do with it) The reason why I think this is semi plausible in the current state of the show is because after episode 5 and N regains his memories. He definitely is going to realize that himself and V were in a relationship, but after the hole turning into disassembly drones thing, V kept her memories, and he didn’t. And she never told him anything about their previous relationship, and was actively lying and withholding information about their past. And on top of all that, this has been going on for possibly decades. Decades of nothing but being treated like an annoyance and letting J abuse him. You don’t just hop back into a relationship after that. The correct thing for V to have done if she wanted a relationship with N, was that when she recognized that he had a crush on her again, was to not simply ignore him and cast him out. At least talk. So N rejecting any of V’s advances going forward, after fully understanding V’s flawed way of helping N, I think makes at least decent sense.
