I love this mainly because how I can both see it being similar to Sanemi and Genya but also quite different because Gyutaro knows his sister won't just leave but he's also worried about her but he also will not be like Sanemi and actually trying to blind her like he did which I understand that Sanemi was trying to protect Genya but it still was still really cruel thing to try to do so I like how Gyutaro just wants to protect Ume but also knows that she won't want to be treated like it forever so how he kind of has a no one scenario.

I like your work. By the way, about the storyline of Daki and Gyutaro in this AU: just like with the brothers in the original, one of the two will die. For example, Daki, who gave her life for her brother, thereby paying him back for his care and everything in that spirit. Or Gyutaro himself, who was already ready to give his life for Daki and before his death, asks his sister to leave the demon slayers and live a normal life. (The scene with Shinobu and her older sister would fit here.)
