He was taught things that nobody in one piece could ever teach him. And was only around planet level at the time that he fought piccolo. He's not naturally gonna become planet level at all. Yes, zenkai boosts can make him stronger, but in one piece he can only reach a certain point fighting even the strongest people in the verse. At most, he's likely only ever gonna reach maybe planet level or slightly higher, but definitely not past that, and it would take him very long to get to that point. Geppo would make more sense here There is no reason at all here that Marineford goes any differently for Ace than it does in the canon: he was nearly saved but succumbs to Akinu's provocation and gets killed. This would also make for a waaay better monent to trigger Goku's Super Saiyan transformation than Pudding being smacked aside by Big Mom.

Had this event happened later however even a year later I feel like it certainly would be something that Goku would try to go Red Ribbon on however that would be an interesting timeline in which if anything bad did happen to the Celestial Goku would be forever hunted.

Hey, thanks for you comment. Like I mentioned in other comments already. We can't compare Gokus Dragon Ball Powerlevel with his Powerlevel in One Piece. There are definitly parallels but One Piece Goku is more adjusted to the power systems in One Piece. So he cant destroy planets or moons. If that would be the case the story would be way to broken and in my opinion to boring
