Reinhard will most likely just one-shot him. Return by Death seem to return your body to the state it was in at that time so the adaptation would be removed.

I do not remember if his adaption causes the witch's scent to increase. It seems like the witch does not care if others find out about his adapting powers so maybe Rem, and Ram wouldn't smell the witch on him or at least not that much of the witch's scent.
