I'm always partial to the Sun clan, entirely because when I was a kid playing DW4 my favorite color was red. As I learned about the actual story of the Romance I was always a little sad with their fate and standing in the story. But I'll always love playthroughs featuring them!

This is actually the 2nd campaign I finished in ROTK 8 Remake. The only difference being that I start in 194 under Yuan Shu. Back then I befriended Yu Ji without even knowing that there's an event related to him, so it kinda surprised me in a good way that I can save Sun Ce immediately when the event pops up.

1. Zhou Yu (childhood friend) 2. Taishi Ci (fought each other literally in a fist fight, respected each other, makes historical sense) The final spot is really the one where you can go places. If you want to stick within Wu, I think Lu Su and Lu Meng probably makes the most sense. Also, I can imagine Gan Ning and Sun Ce hitting it off. If we go beyond the historical characters who worked for Wu, then it is basically insert whichever great name you can imagine. Imagine a world where Sun Ce is fighting against Zhang Liao's raid at Hefei. Instead of panicking, Sun Ce and Zhang Liao fight it out and earn each other's respect and after Hefei falls, Zhang Liao goes on to work for Sun Ce and happily every after.

Regarding the choice of sworn sibling, regrettably there's no point in picking Lu Meng, since Sun Ce being the faction leader means the event for Lu Meng to become smarter will never trigger (it needs Sun Quan to be the faction leader). I think as you mentioned Zhang Liao is a pretty good choice, or even Ling Tong? But then again too many good officers from Wu die young...don't think you would have enough life extension items for Sun Ce, Zhou Yu, Taishi Ci and Ling Tong LOL. It would be kind of poetic to have them as sworn sibling though.

I thought it was Cao Cao's grandpa that spent tons of money? I guess Cao Song got it from his foster father? it ran in the family despite not being blood related

His grandpa was the eunuch. He can’t have government positions. It was his father who made the money from his grandpa’s connections and then spent them to please the emperor. And they are blood related as Cao Song was Cao Teng’s nephew and passed over to be his son.

Grand excellency refer to the grand excellency of the works and grand excellency of the masses. Ten eunuchs can be referred to as the ten attendants. Nothing grand about their title unless it’s just some try hard English translation trying to make them sound fancier

Played Rotk13 . Got a question . During control battle i notice my officers dueling. Do you know what triggers those random duels? . My tactican war 59 got whooped by a 87war . Tryed search the manual but cant really find any triggers.

in the north and northwest we got too many Cavalry point, in the central plains we got so many infantry and in south is overflowing with marine point, we need to be mr. chinesewide(?) to get all those point equally wwww

I mean this is a great representation of the specialization of the regions. I don't mind it personally especially as it also matches the terrain of the battle maps in each of the region to further highlight their specialties.

You mention the Qing served until Cao Cao died and didnt want to work with Cao Pi, so what happened to them? Were they all killed?

They left their tuntian farms and asked to return to Qing Province. Cao Pi wanted to put them down, but was convinced it was politically smarter to let them go free. So they got their wish and was allowed to go home and live out their days as regular civilians.
