Hear me out, in the demon slayer trial or whatever they called it there were a lot of candidates that didn't make it. But with Tanjiro having Yoriichi's potential and the mark he would be like Sabito, saving all of the other candidates by easily wiping out all of the demons one by one thus everybody surviving. Everyone who witnessed Tanjiro must've spread rumors of how this slayer with a strange mark on his forehead single handedly wiped out all of the demons and that rumor would eventually reach the Hashiras. The Hashiras would discuss if this slayer should become a Hashira and they'd eventually agree. Giyuu recognises the strange features of this slayer volunteers to personally summon Tanjiro and within just a week after becoming a slayer he achieves the title of the Sun Hashira.

5:20 .... Tanjiro with Yoriichi level potential is definetly above even the hashira... Muichiro, which is a prodigy in his own right has nowhere near the level of potential that Yoriichi had, and even then Muichiro became a Hashira in just 2 months. If you would put Yoriichi in Muichiro's shoes, he would have been a Hashira in under a month, it would barely even take him a week to become a Hashira, I mean he defeated a trained samurai sword-instructor, specifically selected to train a heir to a lords household, whithin less than 10 seconds after picking up a sword for the first time. I mean put it in perspective, it was difficult for 5 Hashira together to even keep up with Muzan, WHILE HE WAS DRUGGED AND EXTREMLY WEAKENED by Tamayo's and Shinobu's poison, an Yoriichi the GOAT didn't even need 5 seconds to litterly obliterate Muzan and Yoriichi would have killed him if he didn't stop to ask Muzan what the value of a human life was to him.

I mean Yoriichi had just as much training in swordsmanship as Tanjiro had when Tanjiro began his training, and with that I mean NO TRAINING AT ALL, yet he still destroyed the swords-instructor. Tanjiro is 6 years older than Yoriichi was at that time and already was thought a breathing style, and I mean if Tanjiro really has Yoriichi level potential than he's also a Yoriichi level genius, he would have easily figured out that keeping up the breathing pattern for the Hinokami Kagura enhances his strength immensly, he would already have mastered Total Concentration Breathing Constant before he even met Giyuu. And as soon as he would be told to use a sword he would easily figure out how to use the Hinokami Kagura as the Hi no Kokyuo (for me the dance is the Hinokami Kagura, while utilizing it as a sword technique I call it the Hi no Kokyuo [Sun breathing]), meaning Tanjiro would already be pillar level strength after less than a week. I mean by the time cannon rolls, around 2 years later, around he would already be capable of soloing most of the Uppermoons, Kokushibo would still beat him in a 1v1 but Douma would have an extreamly difficult time, between Douma and Tanjiro it could go either way. But by the time of Infinity castle arc, so just around a year after begin of cannon, Tanjiro would be capable of fighting Muzan 1v1 with little difficulty, if at all.

If Tanjiro had Yoriichis potential the second Kokushibou catches attention of it he'll stop at nothing to make sure he kills him. The dude went batshit crazy on Sanemi and Gyomei after they reminded him of the Sengoku era in the slightest, if he saw tanjiro with not only the same hair, eyes, earrings, AND skill as Yoriichi he'd probably transform off that alone

Nezuko would never conquer the sun. Tanjiro would dispatch Hantengu so fast the sun would be no where near coming up. No one would ever know Nezuko could conquer the sun. Also I think in your story Yorichi would send Tanjiro to the sword smith village right at the beginning to get his sword because regular nichirin swords can’t handle sun breathing.
