Weren't the people in the experiment also told the other person volunteered to keep going? That always stuck out to me. If someone told me to inflict pain on someone else, I wouldn't. But if they told me the other person wanted to do it, I would consider doing it

If I remember correctly, Not only did the person plead for them to stop but they also yelled about a heart condition. Then a certain voltage, there was no response at all, simulating that the subject passed out or died.

The Nazis had a specific target, and purpose for exterminating certain people. So if they're going to exterminate, might as well use them as experiments, they thought.. and a majority of the information they gathered from tests is now common medical knowledge we use today, which is creepy. But what's the US governments excuse for this inhumane experimentation with human lives? A social experiment? come on, that's weak...

I know that if the belko experiment happened, I would kill myself. I know how the urge to survive can control people more than their own self and morals, and I wouldn't want to let myself get to that point. its not some big hero thing, more just I respect myself too much to let myself go like that, and would rather die "a hero" or ordinary person, than see myself become the villain.

Before I came to that point I would have tried removing the explosive. They pulled the cameras out in one room and I am sure there are places the cameras could not see. At least if the detonated the explosive in an attempt to remove I would have in effect killed myself. Furthermore I would have hidden and only killed to defend myself. If I died, so be it at least I was not the monster in the story.

I view movies as a story. Albeit some are based on true events, but still a story. Sometimes I do imagine what I would have done in that particular situation. For example in the Belko experiment I do not think I would have been allowed int he building that day anyway since I would have refused to have a "tracker" placed inside me. However I think I would have just hidden until the very end where I would have to defend myself and there are places where you can hide away from the cameras like in the room they pulled all the cameras where I could attempt to take out the explosive. In short there is nothing I could have done about them detonating the explosive in my head so I would just worry about things I could control, like killing others or being killed myself.

It should be noted that the Milgram study is fraught with methodological errors. The minority of people who went all the way with the electric shocks only did so after being persuaded by the conductor of the experiment that it was safe and no one was in any real danger. This confounds the entire premise of the experiment IMO. And yet today this is given as an example of blind adherence to authority when in reality most people resisted authority when they thought they were hurting someone and had to be persuaded otherwise in order to continue.

Within this narrative, it was amazing how three people made themselves stand out to be the "hunters", the main people out to victimise and hunt down the rest. It was very reminiscent of Lord of the Flies - those who are strongest, becoming the leaders and the weakest the ones to bow to those in "leadership" and submit to their leadership in whatever way they see fit.

I would never let them chip me unless it’s a dire situation where I need to feed someone. If I did, I would pretty much search for the best hiding spot. If I run into a weapon to protect myself I will take it. If I had someone to care for at the company I would take them with me or protect them unless they go along with the instructions, then they’re not who I thought they were. Next actions would be determined by their actions 🤷‍♀️

I just got done watching the movie for the first time and I do believe they can have experiments out there like that. If they are already experimenting on human cloning and messing with people's DNA and mix matching species and doing human experiments already, then definitely if they haven't done something like this already they will eventually. And I full heartedly believe that. They experiment way too much on shit they shouldn't

I can't remember where, but I think I heard somewhere that the prison experiment was flawed, that the experimenters were biased and so pushed the guards to be as cruel as they could, in order to prove their hypothesis. I may be wrong, but if not it portrays a slightly more positive view of humanity

There is a criticism about the 'following orders' part of your Video. The reason These People did what they did wasn't just because the orders came from AuthorIT but because they came from someone trustworthy. I seriously doubt These People would have been as cooperative if it was a Nazi experimenting on a imprisoned Jew. But it wasn't. No modern scientist would conduct an Experiment that could easily kill People, even if it's just for te sake of their own freedom. In the films scenario I for my part would explain to everyone why None of them are ever gonna make it out of this alive. After all, why would the perpetrators leave any survivors? Then follow that up with a short lesson in Anti-Nihilism. The best course of action is for everyone to just fuck up the Experiment as much as possible. Search and destroy Observation Equipment. Take guns and shoot at the secrurity personel outside. Anything to Rebell. Of Course I can't say how many of them would agree with me.

Purge is the best because it resembles real life. All of us have a bad side. A lot of people imagine getting acess to their bad side. Robbing, killing, raping etc etcAnd the fact in purgr series that actually helped the economy and peace makes us think. You have a movie about survival that is not very knowed but to me better thatn belko- the death theory its a man who was climbing with is friends on a mountain thy fell and he let his friends die in order to survive. But he is go to trial and gets locked in a mental clinic. And he wants to proove that everyone can kill in order to survive. Survive instintics always prevails so he invades a party with teens and told them they have all night to kill each other and he lets the last person alive to live.
