I personally think Boatem would win, because octagon may have crazy farms, and big eyes may have a wide reach, but Boatem is centralized and they offer a wider range of products, for lower costs as well. They've got 5 people crankin out farms and businesses. They seemed set to dominate the shopping industry for the season, but that's just me. Love your videos dude!

I think the short answer is that Octagon would have won if the Derpcoin held its currency, but Boatem would win if it didn't. In an all-out competition of prankage, sabotage, and profits, Octagon would have won because of their game-breaking farms, decent redstone capabilities, and acceptance of multiple currencies, but Boatem would have been a close second. Sorry Big-Eye, but they just never came even close in the profits game from what we saw of Hermitcraft 8. The only way they would have won a monetary race would have been by integrating into another group, most-likely Octagon. What Big-Eyes did have was redstone prowess that even outpaces Octagon. Their contribution would have been the sabotage and prankage to compliment Octagon's as Octagon raked in the profits. Boatem still would have been competent, but I imagine if they weren't forced to concede defeat to the pranks, as we saw in Hermitcraft 8, they would have still fallen behind in profits. The result of this scenario would have been about 10-8.5 in favor of Octagon I think. However, the biggest variable to this "What If" scenario is the Derpcoin. Evil X's plan would still have been to rob the server of its diamonds, and the moment he did that, Octagon would have lost about half of their profits. Boatem's industrial infrastructure would have been unaffected, and the five of them would have continued to outbuild and then outperform in profits. While a conglomerate Octagon and Big-Eye would be able to still put up a fight, these five individuals still don't put out as much as Boatem in terms of content. In the end, the quality of Octagon and Big-Eye would still not be a match to the quantity of Boatem. The result of this scenario would have been about 10-7 in favor of Boatem I think. That's just my take based on watching all of their perspectives during the season. The only thing that can't be accounted for is Boatem's randomness, but as it stood, this is where I think it would have gone.

Realistically speaking there are two scenarios: 1. They would have planned from the beginning, that the season would be longer. So probably would they not have done it so experimental. So no custom Textures, a central Shopping district etc. 2. They would have said look, let's keep it longer. Than would Scar probably work on his Megabase instead of the starter base. (because he said, that he did this because of running out of time.) Iskall would after he recovered play again. (Because he stopped, after he did get in knowledge that the season will end soon) Mumbo would start his Farming district. Grian still wouldn't do his back until the End of the Season, but the shops would have an actual interior. Some Hermits who haven't a Megabase yet, do move to the 1.18 Terrain. Most important the Boatemhole would be safe, because Minecraft made it, that Bedrock holes will keep after the update.

I think there should be a season that is one big team-up. Basically, the shopping district would be one big shop. And the manager of the shop would split the diamonds earned every once-in-a-while so everyone would get an equal amount.

The problem with this season was that although it was planned to be a short season from begining, it still looked like it was rushed at the end. All hermits had to quickly complete their projects, often to a minimal extent, which prevented them from fully realising their plans.

I have a joke theory: season 9 starts on April 25th. They say it will start "soon" and S is the 19th letter of the alphabet, O is the 15th, and N is the 14th. By ignoring the 1 in all 3 numbers I have decrypted this secret message it means that Season 9(s) will start on the 25th(2 O's) of April (N, as the 4th month)

I feel like Boatem would win even if the other 2 combined. Boatem already has a lot of diamonds, and they have a lot of very diverse shops. Grians Gtrain would probably expand to an even bigger stock, (Iron would probably be high on the list because mumbo) impulse would be selling candies probably similar to scars cookies, mumbo would thrive with his good assortment of Items in harmless harvests, pearl is already all across the server, and scar would actually have time to build up his tycoon. The octagon may have their crazy farms, and with big eyes could make some nice shops as well, the fact you mentioned about derpcoin could really bring that team down, as both would be low on money due to it or their progress. Boatem already has a huge headstart due to their lack of derpcoin you mentioned but also do a lot more together than the others as far as I know.

I'm starting to notice a lot off pissed off comments on HC members videos for S9 not even being talked about. They seriously fucked up with the way they ended S8 and just left everyone hanging for S9 and its going to start affecting peoples channels soon (the ones not trying to fill time with hardcore series that we know there just going to abandon or "oops I died" when S9 starts). I have a feeling I know why there waiting and its because of Scars surgery and recovery but they could have just said that the series was taking a break for a few months.....
