@@picklesonwednesday1632 thanks for subbing, the reason I made West Virginia Independent is because they split from Virginia during the war.

MaybeSpacers is right, Before the civil war, West Virginia was apart of Virginia and then when the civil war hit, West Virginia wanted separation from Virginia because it was mainly a mountainous state and had no agricultural ties with the south 👍👍👍

And that is also mainly why West Virginia is a very red state, because of its Mountainous and less population density and Oil which is the big thing of Republicans :)
