There's only really two ways for that to be achieved. A. The Earth is ejected out of the Solar System and becomes a wandering planet between the stars. Then the surface temperature would fall to near zero degrees Kelvin across the whole surface of the planet. Probably around 3K. B. A massive amount of green house gases are released into the atmosphere turning the Earth into a hot house planet like Venus. With all the water in the upper atmosphere as cloud cover. When it rains the water never reaches the ground as the lower atmosphere is to hot. So, the temperature globally would be over 300C worldwide with only slight variations in temperature. Neither scenario would be good!

The north pole has a 0-23.5° sun angle for 182.5 days straight, and at its warmest, has an average temperature of 36°F (2°C) which is about 4 months into the day. So if the sun angle is low, it would actually be quite chilly if there was never ending sun.

It will create two pressure zone . High pressure in sun area and low pressure in night area . Strong winds will blow from high to low pressure area may cause storm like winds in zones where the line of day and night meet.

Do a spin-off of this… would we still have seasons if Earth was tidally locked? The 23 degree angle of earth has to come into play. Cuz ya know, 8:30 in summer is bright with sunlight, but 5:00 in winter is dark. And, earth would still be going around the sun, with its axis tilt.

If the Earth were always facing the Sun, the side facing the Sun would experience constant daylight, while the side facing away from the Sun would experience constant darkness. This would have a major impact on the planet's climate and weather patterns, as well as on the distribution of life. The side facing the Sun would experience extreme heat and arid conditions, making it uninhabitable for most forms of life. On the other side, it would be extremely cold and dark, which would also make it difficult for life to survive. The lack of a regular day-night cycle would also disrupt the natural rhythms of plants and animals, as well as the weather patterns that depend on the temperature differences between the day and night side. This would likely lead to a collapse of the planet's ecosystem. Additionally, the lack of rotation would prevent the atmosphere from circulating, leading to a buildup of greenhouse gases on the sunny side and a severe lack of it on the dark side, resulting in a runaway greenhouse effect on the sunny side and a permanent ice age on the dark side. In summary, if the Earth were always facing the Sun, it would be a vastly different and uninhabitable planet.
