I love this story, not only because it is incredibly written, but because it's an amazing example of how to write a story rather than a concept. most what if videos just say "this happens instead of this" whereas here, a reason is given, Ahsoka decided to catch the perpetrator rather than assist the woman, which was the catalyst, which compared to other people's stories in which she just inst charged, like they give me reason, she just isn't.

While illogical it actually does make sense from the specific perspective of political tug of war. The Jedi had drifted far from what they were meant to be, and the high council was honestly just as neck deep in politics as any senator. When the bombing occurred it put the Jedi heavily on the back foot and the pieces fell into place for the temporary scapegoat to be Ashoka. I honestly highly doubt any of them believed for a second she did it, but twistedly that makes it easier to bend to the republics demands to maintain optics for the public. Give the republic what they want then hunt down the real culprit, clear her name and boom, good as new. What the dogma of the Jedi blinded them to was the fact that no code or duty could explain or justify their actions to literally anyone else. So they just kept playing politics and rigidly clinging to a code that offered little understanding much less explanations to alternate perspectives. They never considered that they are not chess players moving pawns like a senator or palpatine. Each move only weakened them and shut them out to the hints that maybe they were flying too close to the sun, and we saw what that brought them
