It's so funny that this video just came up like not even 24h after I just bought the VenusXL2, no joke! This palette was still in my mind after all these years and finally could grab it on sale so it compensates for the customs. Greens and pinks together are such a weak spot for me, and my love for satins have regrown so much as they are so practical for doing one shadow looks. So happy that you're featuring this one out :D

I love this type of video! I think if you were just looking for an updated version of this color story in an already-existing palette, you could find it in the BH Avocado Toast. I doubt those shimmers could compete with your singles though.

I wore this on my college graduation a few years ago. It was a unique look and i got lots of compliments. The colors definitely need to be built up. Mine also has hard pan. I need to pull it out because it's been a while.

Ahh the venus XL 2!! 😍 I still use it sometimes but the satins are not enough for me nowadays. I'm waiting for the Xmas holidays to change it up a bit. I've already depotted it months ago, I just need the time to repan some interesting shimmers into its pans 🤩 Love this series!!! 🎉

I think I would’ve tried to make it more neutral or go for a 10 pan of 2 rows of 5 instead of 9pan so you have space to add that kind of shade. I love the Venus xl 2 palette myself and I view it as a soft neutrals palette with some hidden gems/neutrals with a twist like Laurel and Ivy. Your palette was like a fall or holiday edition of it with more emphasis on the darker shades.

If you are looking for suggestions I think it would be interesting to see recreations of Melt palettes since their shimmers haven’t exactly kept up with the times. Maybe Maryjane since the shimmers in that one were disappointing to a lot of people!

Nice colors, but yours is not as brown, orangey, or muted as lime crime’s. I have this lime crime palette, and I never wear it. I’d probably wear your palette picks though, your shades would be more flattering on the eye.
