What would occur if the Marvel 616 Universe was selected to fight in the Tournament of Power? Would the Marvel fighters be triumphant or would they get defeated? Hulk is an incredibly powerful being within Marvel due to him possessing the ability to grow stronger the madder he gets and able to survive in even the most hazardous conditions! It doesn't hurt that he can regenerate and has ridiculous levels of strength!
Thor, the Asgardian God of Thunder has insane speed, battle experience, and raw strength that will make the majority of the fighters from other universes shake in awe!
Iron Man is one of the most intelligent beings within Marvel. With his technology and crazy abilities that his suits over the years have shown, he definitely has a good chance of impressing those who doubt him!
Dr. Strange obtained his power through the mystic arts when he was on the journey to fix his hands after a fatal car accident. He discovered that he was gifted in utilizing magic and extra-dimensional abilities. Can he turn the tide in the Tournament of Power?
Gorr the God Butcher is a terrifying opponent as he can use his manipulation of darkness and the power of the Necrosword to slay gods; hence his title. What does he bring to the table for his team?
Ultron is an immensely durable A.I with the goal to exterminate organic life. Can he succeed in his goals by defeating his opponents in the tournament?
Doctor Doom is an egotistical, yet efficient mastermind who has repeatedly faced off against the likes of the Avengers, the X-Men, and most notably the Fantastic Four. What cunning strategy and abilities could he show in the tournament?
The Sentry is the man with the power of a million exploding suns, and that is no hyperbole as he has defeated the likes of Molecule Man, Thor, and has even stalemated Galactus himself! From high-speed regeneration, matter manipulation, and even being seemingly immortal, what other abilities does he possess?
The Silver Surfer is by far one of the most diverse characters in Marvel due to his ridiculous speed, feats, and his wide array of hacks that can definitely turn the tide of battle in the favor of Marvel. From energy absorption, to being able to trap opponents in his board, to even healing, is there anything he can't do?
Thanos is the backbone; the Goku or the Jiren of his team due to possessing high levels of strength and power- being able to casually defeat beings like Silver Surfer, Thor, and the Hulk. Even Galactus and Odin have had trouble in fighting this hyper-intelligent being! Does he truly stand a chance against beings like Jiren and Ultra Instinct Goku?

It's worth noting that in the original Secret Wars event, the Beyonder summoned a bunch of heroes and villains to fight each other in a tournament of sorts. Ultron then immediately tried to kill his teammates since the only thing he cares about is ending organic life. It wasn't until Galactus sucked out Ultron's energy and Dr Doom rewired him that Ultron was willing to help out. So if the characters in this video were summoned to fight in the Tournament of Power, they would have to find a way to stop Ultron from killing them before they could even participate.

I've always wondered who would be a good team from the DC Universe to compete in the TOP and I've come up with a few possible lineups in my head, but I'd love to see you do a video featuring your team. Well its kinda true. A lot of the fighters on Dragon Ball don't stack up to the Marvel characters. Some of the Marvel cast could just hit them with mental/psychic attacks (which many of the Dragon Ball characters have no defense against). Luke Cage himself could take on a few of the low tier dragon ball cast since he's literally invisible (but can still be effected by poisons and paralyzing agents) but he would struggle with the higher level fighters since he lacks flight and speed.

Base Thanos is above Galactus at this point, who is above Skyfather tiers like Beerus and Odin. Goku and Jiren can be said to be above all the GoDs but not above the Angels, who are Galactus' best competition. That only happened with Odin's help giving him an armor set that would defend him against a power up Thanos had. Before that, a base Thanos was kicking his ass, even whipping out half a fucking planet with ease on Thor. Thor tanked it, but that shit still hurt since it was cosmic energy or whatever. The book sucked anyways, and later on Jim Starlin, the guy who created Thanos, retconned that moment by saying it was a clone of Thanos and that's his go to excuse whenever a story doesn't depict Thanos in his way.

That's future Thanos and he had A LOT of prep and time to do all of that, but he's still INSANELY powerful. Right now, current/present Thanos is with future Thanos and Ghost Rider/Herald of Galactus Punisher fighting Silver Surfer with a power boost and Mjolnir... Yes, the story is THAT fucking awesome.

I think a better choice than Thor would be Captain Marvel. With the ability to absorb almost any form of energy as well as a transformation she would be a good choice without the question "can I use a weapon?".

Seeing this for the first time about a year late. I like your video and your breakdown and it all makes sense. However, I'm not sure this is the team 616 would send from a narrative standpoint. Assuming it is the Avengers that get the notice of the tournament from lets say Thor due to the god connection, recruiting Thanos would be difficult and Ultron would be even less likely to be approached by the Avengers and quite possibly outright refuse out of spite. Also I think Gorr was killed after his story line and hasn't appeared since, only showing up in a Janurary - October 2013 run according to the Marvel wiki so I'll discount him as being a mostly one shot character. If I were to write the story of Earth 616 participating in a version of the Tournament of Power the team I would go with would include probably most of the same as yours but with a couple of tweaks to take in account character availability, connections, and popularity. 1) Iron Man: Tony would insist on participating upon hearing the news from Thor. He would probably build up a new form of the Bleeding Edge or even the Model 50 Endosym armor seen in Superior Iron Man. 2) Thor: Obvious pick as one of the strongest on the Avengers and probably the first to hear of the tournament and bring the news to the Avengers 3) Hulk: Wouldn't get left out of the fight, way too popular and an easy pick as a stand out Avenger 4) Doctor Strange: For all the reasons listed in the video. He'd probably get clued in by Stark and agree to participate 5) Doctor Doom: Of all the villains listed in the video, Doom makes the most sense when I play it out in my head. Stark, Strange, and Reed Richards would be looking over their best chances to win and Richards might recommend Doom for the team. Doom would probably agree in return for something, he doesn't want to see the whole universe wiped out after all. Might have his own scheme going on in the background. 6) Human Torch: Not a heavy hitter, I know. But if Doom is going then Johnny may insist on going too so he can keep an eye on him. 7) Invisible Woman: Sue isn't going to let her brother go alone. Also she could be a strong support character if used properly. 8) Vision: I kinda want to add Vision in here to take up Ultron's robot spot and maybe a bit of Sentry's role as a heavy hitter, though he isn't as strong as Sentry in the least. In the story it makes sense for him to go as he is also an Avenger, so availability and connections aren't an issue. 9) Captain Marvel: Carol Danvers, making up for the power lost by the lack of Sentry in this line up. A very strong Avenger with a very important skill for any Dragon Ball crossover, energy projection. 10) She-Hulk: The only thing better than one gamma powered superhero is two. With the fate of the universe on the line, Jennifer would easily agree to join the fight. So the overall power level is lower than the team in the video, but after going over scenarios in my head this team seems a bit more likely to me. I had considered Deadpool or Spider-Man for the last slot for comic relief but the no-weapons rule kinda killed Deadpool and Spider-Man would have been outclassed by a lot of the Dragon Ball FighterZ. The combination of Vision and Captain Marvel should hopefully fill the power gap left by Sentry while Iron Man is probably even a stronger contender than stated in the video.
