Historically, the team that wins game 1 goes on to win that whole playoff series 68% of the time. So in a way, all NHL playoff series are like single game eliminations, considering that the game 1 winner's odds are that much in their favor.

i would say the opposite. usually the better team wins the series. so if 30% of time the weaker one wins the first game thats huge anomaly and would change the results a ton

Out of every sports game NHL honestly probably has the best A.I play. I know that’s not saying much but still it’s pretty decent. I mean it’s at least watchable, 2k the players move like idiots and make awful decisions that make no sense at all, regardless of the difficulty. Madden is just as bad.. if you want a headache that refuses to go away then pop in Madden 23, go to play now , throw your controller in the middle row on the select sides screen and let the cpu duke it out. It’s like watching what I imagine an autistic boxing match would look like. Sad & confusing.
