What if Tsar Nicholas’s father regained longer. While a decent concept, I doubt that the league of the three emperors would last for much longer after the initial war is concluded, let alone the larger war to end the Ottoman Empire Austria was fearful of Russian expansion into the Balkan and just giving them Bosnia wouldn't really change that fact Also, I don't see how Constantinople could become an international zone? Historically, the city became an international zone mostly due to the existence of the league of nations, which was supposed to take over the territory; what's more likely to happen, in my opinion, is that Turkey keeps the city but is forced to open it up to all ships with no exceptions Other than that, great video over all, keep it up!

The timeline is generally really weird. I'd have to predict the fall of the Ottomans 40 years earlier. The Middle East wouldn't have the Sykes-Picot borders for example. I just used the information that we had historically. The Middle East borders were also because of the League of Nations. I know that this is not entierly accurate, but it's better than me drawing random lines and calling it a day.

Actually the San Stefano Peace treaty was never possible, because Graf Ignatiev made it unilaterally without consulting Russia about prior agreements with the other powers.

Yes, it does seem quite insane, as it did claim Serbian and Romanian lands. I don't see these countries giving up their lands, even if Russia pressures them. San Stefano is too extreme, but it greatly alters the Balkan Wars and WW1, so the concept is REALLY interesting, despite being unrealistic

It's something many Bulgarians misunderstood that it's a done deal, but it was a tactic for Graf Ignatiev to endear himself with the Bulgarians and potentially be chosen as a king. This is why the Bulgarian elite distanced itself from Russia after being freed, but the regular citizens didn't know and still loved Russia.

Actually, I believe the Russians might still loose in the Russo-Japanese war, due to the fact that A: IJN has better ships, B: IJA would still do a suprise attack, which the russian garrison in Port Arthur would still not expect, and finally C: Russian incompetence is likely to remain unchanged, also now that the Russians are no longer allied with France, their ship designs would be even more vastly behind the rest of the world, oh and finally and most importantly: The British would likely step in if Japan seemed to be loosing.

It has a ton people, very literate population, and growing industrialization that can pass Russia in quality. Even if Russia industrialized it is still likely corrupt autocratic or oligarchy like regime. Japan is homogenous and fighting close to home and has body throws. The US had to actually stop Japanese from taking more because we gave them a ton of loans. That another thing. Ok I tell you British empire stood no chance again Maratahas. But here is what they did. First they attacked Mysore then also asked marathas to attack mysore which weakened Indian unity. Then they supported people who wanted to get higher status in Maratha empire and made them join war in their side. In last war 1818 they fought with the same people who wanted higher status and won.

I personally think it would be more likely that britain would make france and italy wait until they saw which side was winning ( therefore the bigger threat) and would declare war against them. Russia seems too strong since they control much of the balkan. Even if they cant get through the black sea by british blockade theh can use bulgaria/serbia to get supplies from their trade.

I think the league of the three emperors could survive because Austria-Hungary might not be happy with the Russians but with Italy already a member of the Entante and claiming Austrian territory it would likely move Austria's focus over to combatting Italy rather than Balkan dominance and with Russian ambition in the Balkans reached there's no reason for them to keep pushing Austria Hungary for more influence meaning that at least for now both sides are mostly appeased and focused on other things as Russian aims move more towards the Pacific with Japan and the Qing dynasty's and Austria's focus moving to Italy
