A dragon without use of his back legs would likely be almost uninhibited- cats with similar injuries can get around fine and given that wof dragons have hooked claws on their wings he could likely use them as an extra set while walking/climbing.

In Escaping Perils' prologue, it's mentioned that one Skywing egg did survive. A lot of people assumed that it was the one Burn killed, but if you read through it you'll see that she killed it before then actually :) I'd be really interested to know what happened to them lol

I can do it! Clay perked up his ears in surprise. The hole to get to the outside world-in the water tunnel-was blocked. Suddenly, he heard screams coming from above. He burst his head through the surface, and what he saw shocked him. | Tsunami breathed heavily. Glory was dead. Sunny looked horrified, Starflight looked like he had nixed feelings, Clay looked like he wanted to bury himself alive, and Tsunami herself...well, she just couldn't believe it. The sarcastic, hard-working RainWing of the group, the literal one named GLORY, was dead. And Kestrel had a SATISFIED FACE. Tsunami felt rage boil up inside her, to the point where she broke the chains with a single snap of her teeth.

Tsunami roared at Kestrel and charged at her, being careful to not tread on Glory’s body. Clay watched all this, stunned. Glory’s scales were a plain white, but with… pink. Like her last words were, ‘I love you all.’ Sunny was crying strongly and so was Starflight, now. Tsunami ripped Kestrel’s underbelly as the other dragonets started screaming in horror and sadness. Someone can continue this. :D

I love this what if so much! And the drawing is amazing! Sunny looks so cute and happy, just how she should it's amazing! If you would like more ideas for What Ifs (If you don't, just ignore this bit, because you're probably really busy) AU where Kestrel took Sky and 'Killed' Peril. If she was tangled in that bush it would burn, and Wren wouldn't go anywhere near her, so when Kestrel came back to find her, she would be able to raise both of them. She would have to look after the prophecy dragonets as well as her own, but she would probably be less grumpy, because she is in better circumstances. AU where Orca killed Coral AU where one of the SandWing sisters became queen rather than Thorn AU where Smolder and Palm managed to escape AU where Albatross never went insane, therefore Fathom never meets Darkstalker and Clearsight AU where Cottonmouth never found the root

I loved this! I felt incredibly sympathetic for Finch, he is so much like Osprey! I really liked old Osprey, he was a good dragon under a terrible queen. I feel bad about how Kestrel treated Finch, he was a SkyWing but she still hated him. I do like that Glory got to grow up in the rainforest and not a cold cramped and demeaning cave for her childhood.

Okay, I have some fun, and a bit of weird What if ideas. What if Hope/Foeslayer adopted Queen Glory since she doesn't exactly have parents. What if Glory trained the RainWings even harder, and they finally committed. What if Starflight had NightWing powers What if the Lord of the Indestructible City found Wren and tried to make her work for him, him still thinking she could control dragons. wow, I have seen a LOT of what if? videos on this topic, but I have to say, this is by far the most creative one. Everyone else usually has the dragonet be female, for one, but I like that this one is a boy. And two, lots of people usually have the SkyWing dragonet favored by Kestrel because they think the SkyWing dragonet would have felt like an adopted dragonet to Kestrel, after she thought Peril and Sky died. But it makes sense that the dragonet would have had injuries from a fall like that, and Kestrel definitely would have hated that.

Questions about this: How did Finch hide until Clay and Tsunami got back? Why weren’t Sunny and Finch on display and hanging on the ceiling like Sunny was in the canon books? Why did Osprey decide to help the dragonets in this au, but not canonly? Why did Peril attack Scarlet in this one, when she didn’t get angry at Scarlet- at least she didn’t attack her- in the books? Why didn’t Clay and Tsunami convince Peril to help free their friends? It’s a good AU, but it has some major plot holes-

I think Peril attacking Scarlet was to make up for Glory not giving Scarlet her scar ^^ So Scarlet still gets her scar even without Glory in the story

I actually have an AU similar to this where it’s basically only one egg survive but not the one being brought to the dragon acts of prophecy. Basically I highly doubt all sky wings were OK with their children being killed to prevent a prophecy and I had to have been at least one begging scarlet to let their child live and other ones live, promising to take them away from the nursery so the towns of peace can’t grab them (instead being exiled and told to only take her child) The AAU basically follows the mom and her child who is secretly an ice wing hybrid that looks mostly like a sky wing excluding a few icicle sharp features such as a few spines looking like icicles and the barbed tail. The mom‘s name is Brees and she ended up seeing the ice wing that was going to take the sky wing holding her egg and begged him to just take another. She later saw him die along with the egg being destroyed via assumption as she was running away and she felt guilty. I like to imagine she retreated to the scorpions den and requested sanctuary and protection intern for her services and her daughters service in protecting the scorpions den. I have the name of the sky wing proxy dragon it end the ice wing father as well. The father is called hail storm and the little hybrid is named Pyrea after the continent itself and to blend in more with sky wings. However eventually her mom sends her to find her father and she gets a second name in the ice wing kingdom which is penguin. (another reasoning behind this combination specifically is more or less how I feel like breath mechanics of an ice wing and a sky wing would work because one breathes fire while the other breathes ice. Well I have basically worked out is that in most places Pyrea can only use her fire breath unless she’s in the ice wing kingdom, in which case she is able to use ice breath due to the fact that the ice wing kingdom is significantly colder than anywhere else and she has a naturally higher body temperature due to the fact she is part sky wing.)
