yea well, yes and no, you can't say that because of an hoi4 timelapse but i agree with you, historically the uk was foundamental to defeat germany (i would say it was their war by the way, allies were a franco-british alliance so yea, america and ussr joined later) but do not forget that if it was for only one of them against single germany, germany would have won. ussr (with no foreign intervention) vs germany, germany wins, uk alone vs germany, seems hard to me germany would manage to land in britain since the royal navy was stronger than ever at the time but in the long term possible, usa vs germany alone well maybe a stalemate? since they're on the atlantic, well, germany was surely technological advanced but not that much to invade such a far country divided by the ocean. remember germany lost after 6 years of fightings against three superpowers with all their puppets/minor allies, civil resistance like partisans and revolts in occupied countries and well, weak allies or allies who didn't care about helping germany at all as long they would help them to achieve their own goals (cough cough italy) or allies too far away to help them like japan. also, germany went out of oil around 1944 and italy surrendered to the allies in 1943, with no more civilian support to the axis, plus they wasted a lot of men in camps who did terrible things to poor people (yk why i don't support the ideology, i don't need to tell you the reason) and the german air forces were used with no common sense in britain, bombing civilian cities instead of military interests, maybe and i say maybe, in a different scenario with a bit better organized italy (cuz their military wasn't the best, but still it was good, just the generals were choosen by the leader not based on their might but common interests or corruption call it what you like,) a less crazy japan not attacking america and helping against russia, and a more strategic rather than aggressive germany, things would have went way different than in our world, you choose if it would be better or worse. thanks for your attention.

Video Idea: What if Wilhelm II became king of Britain? Basically, in 1901, just before Victoria I’s death, she changes a policy where her eldest child becomes king/queen instead of her eldest son. Then, Victoria’s daughter, who’d become Victoria II, become queen, and later that year dies. This would lead to her eldest son, Wilhelm II, to take throne, becoming King William V of England.

I know the Soviet Union has a focus that you're forced to purge the Red Army when your playing with Stalin as the Soviet Leader . So what about removing the Red Army Purge after Barbarossa and let's see if the Soviet AI can defeat the Axis without suffering so much agaisnt Germany .

Which is nonsense. Muh purges wasn't the reason for the Red Army ding badly, the lack of any defensive preparations, the focus was entirely on an offensive one, was the reason. Stalin's missed chance, published in 2000 in Russia, exposes this.

I know that's the main reason why the Soviets here couldn't fight back the Germans without alot of desorganization , lack of experienced officers and poor equipment on the field .

I'd never even heard of that one. Yes, not a successful 'conquest' of England with a newly recognised King, but London certainly fell. The one that sticks in my mind is the Glorious Revolution of 1688. Debatable if that one was an 'invasion' of England, but it certainly led to a new King. London kind of 'fell' to a Dutchman.

The UK really doesn't handle things well if one of its enemies somehow gets an ally in its neighbourhood. I've grabbed this one mod that gives Ireland a focus tree and oftentimes the UK falls apart when Ireland opts to go fascist and joins Germany.

You called it a long occupation of Scotland. You really need to learn history. Scotland had not been occupied by England since the 1300s. Their parliament chose to unite with England because they bankrupt themselves with failed colonial exploits
