I dont think thats how that works, That only really happend because the bad writing of DBS, Its much easier to train up to a power you already had before than it is to train to a new power

Sweet! Gohan and Piccolo got the Ultimate Form, but whoa I wasn't expecting Gohan to die here, and wasn't expected Cell to get the Ultimate Form too nice curve ball dude. I like that Goku is making up for letting Gohan die against Cell. Also besides Gohan training under Supreme Kais, but also studying under a them would greatly benefit him more then Goku. An idea for Gohan if he learns God Ki he add it to his Ultimate Form. Anyways a really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.

The timeline is confusing then, either this is Cell from the future in which case Vegeta should be able to handle the androids and that's where he got the elder kai's ability, or this is cell from the present where Frieza never came to earth.

Just saying goku's potara might not diffuse in the DBSManga its stated that the potara is made to only work permanantly for supreme or training supreme kais and natural born supreme kais goku or vegeta not even needing to be both would actually seal this deal and make the fusion permanent or maybe you could make a segment where goku and vegeta show this to elder kai and he makes a permanent version of the potaras
