You cannot put down this book once you start reading it. It’s devastating and it is HARD FACTS. Every link to primary source with evidence is given for every chapter. Priyam Gandhi- Mody does a fantastic job. And it hurts real bad, to know as a Bharatiya how our country was ruined, utterly ruined. WHAT IF THERE WAS NO CONGRESS MUST BE READ AGAIN & AGAIN by everyone to understand why Congress should never ever be allowed ANY power. None!

Fun Fact: India had about 1.5 billion in pound sterlings when the British left India. It was money British owed us. Nehru and his infinite wisdom, used that unproductively to buy British assets (he could have forced nationalization) and give them away to his colleagues. Times Group was bought by the govt and given to Dalmia - Nehrus Financier.

I am writing to express my deep appreciation for Priyam Gandhi-Mody's thought-provoking book, "What If There Was No Congress: The Uncensored History of Independent India." Initially, I approached the book with a degree of skepticism, suspecting that the author's views might be shaped by her perceived political affiliations. Nevertheless, upon rigorous fact-checking, I was persuaded by the accuracy and validity of her arguments. I must concede that her work has been revelatory, and I now fully endorse her assertions.

Kushal jee.. Check out Karnataka Politics, you will see BJP turning into Congress.. 3 post for same family. Family run party supported by Modi and Shah bhai. This will what will be future of BJP in south.
@zoomer6198 ай бұрын
These family politics would work until you have incompetent members like Rahul. For instance, in Bollywood, we have Alia and Arjun, both nepotism beneficiaries. However, we can observe how well one has evolved into one of the finest actresses of our time in mainstream films, while the other struggles to relaunch himself, often relying on the strength of the story rather than his own merit. Politics would operate similarly; even if the BJP portrays itself as virtuous, they could potentially endorse a figure like Rahul Gandhi. Do you think that that's happening in Karnataka?

Please do not give credit to hypocrite Nehru for over rated IITs. First IIT was established in Kharagpur with the help of Vidhan Chand Roy and director of Indian Institute of science. After this Nehru made a dash to Russia for help to establish other IIT. We treat these useless institutions like MIT or Stanford. They have no standing even in our neighborhood. Quality of Engineering skils is known by standard of Industry. We are surrounded by enemies but no credible defence industry. We import everything and dependent on US thugs for drones and jet engines. China has achieved much more because of their better education.

Not trying to defend or justify all the actions of Nehru but we are surely being very very unfair to him. There was no clear winner between socialism and capitalism during his time. The evils of USSR had not come out in open and a person living at that time would have clearly seen USSR as a challenger to USA both economically and militarily. It's easy to judge in hindsight that capitalism was the right choice but it was anything but obvious when these decisions were made. Also Sardar suffered a spate of heart attacks beginning in March 1948 and ultimately passed away in 1950. So he wouldn't have become PM anyways. Finally, India has derived many benefits by always following the principle of NAM something which the current PM still follows (we are buying cheap Russian oil and signing defense deals with Americans at the same time) so don't understand the criticism. Important to not criticize just for the heck of it. Agree with significant portions of this episode but the discussion was not balanced and some arguments were clearly not well thought out. Both just went with the flow here

Only nationalists can build nations! the reason is simple, nationalists have immense pride and love for their national history and their national cultural identity which may or may not include religion as well, hence they would consider it as their first priority to develop their land economically, technologically and industrially. They would take all measures to protect their nation from all types of offensive and disruptive forces whether it is external or it is internal. Nationalism is their only motivation to selflessly develop their nation. In such a system corruption and treason will be quite low. On the other hand, Those who dont have any true motivation to feel pride and love for their own language, culture, history or socio-religious community, Woke Leftist liberals will always be selfish, stupid & self-centered for their own things and will even show favour to those people who are unpatriotic and powerful to create social problems. In such a system there would not be any solidarity and discipline and selfishness, stupidity, apathy, social disorder, corruption and treason will be at very high levels.
