Text rant inc- I'd argue that one of the best 4 cost characters is Adult Gohan. One thing I don't see people mentioning is that characters earn Blast Stocks at different rates and with different max capacities, depending on both the number of Blast Stocks you have and the transformation that they're in. As far as I know Adult Gohan is one of the fastest at gaining Blast Stocks in the game, and I believe he's just the fastest of 4 cost outright, I've only seen base-SSJ1 Goku and base-SSJ1 Vegeta(super for both) and base-SSJ1 Goku (both Z-End and GT) also get 3x Blast Stock buffs(the blue arrow up beside your blast stock count). Having blast stock advantage is big since a lot of the blast stock moves are really strong. In base Adult Gohan can hold 5 Blast Stocks and has 2x Blast Stock buffs at 1 stocks and gets 3x Blast Stock buffs starting at 2 Stocks, in SSJ1 he can hold 4 Blast Stocks and has 2x Blast Stock buffs at 1.25 stocks, and in SSJ2 he hold 4 and has 1x Blast Stock buffs starting from 1.25 stocks. Base Gohan has Wild Sense and Full Power Charge(max ki), which aren't necessarily OP on their own but the gimmick is that you get to spam them. If your opponent isn't super/z-countering then you are just getting free defense and offense. Full Power Charge only costs 2 stocks and means that Base Gohan can choose to skip normal charging very often, just allowing you more offensive moments like winning vanish/clash battles and going for rush attack guard breaks or ending combos with Masenko boosts. SSJ1 Gohan has Explosive Wave and Full Power Charge(max ki), plus whatever stat boosts and faster stock regen than most characters, allowing a more offensive playstyle if your opponent is actually handling Wild Sense. You can spam explosive wave more often than most and you use full power charge the same as in base, to skip charging and try to maintain ki advantage. SSJ2 Gohan has Explosive Wave and Full Power(interruptible instant spark), plus whatever stat boosts, allowing for max aggression but at the cost of just barely better blast stock regen than most and 1 less max capacity than most, or 2 less than the best. From either Base or SSJ1, and with max stocks, if you land a hard knock you can go SSJ2 and immediately instant spark for followup aggression, then detransform to quickly regain your Blast Stocks. This also means that many other characters(often Saiyans but not necessarily) have good reason to detransform for blast stock management, but the best at it seem to be Base-SSJ1 Goku(GT)=Base Adult Gohan
