Your point is invalid because there are very few hindus in cumilla and chittagong. Although that does not matter. What matters is geographical locations, sharing culture and languages. These are all same for this region and that’s why Northeast and Bengal was together in the past. During separation Hindu/Muslim propagandas divided and created chaos among people. Both Muslim and Hindu leaders back in that time wanted separation and Northeast became part of India which they were not supposed to. The division should have been based on culture.
