Nicholas's Revenge: Alternate History Lenin woke, he heard gunshots in the lobby. Who dared to attack him? "We must get you away, Tovarish Lenin!" shouted a soldier, ushering him away. The gunshots were getting closer. They arrived in a room, and the soldier locked the door. The gunshots had stopped. Footsteps were heard. Silence. The soldier cocked his rifle. Three gunshots erupted. The lock was blown to pieces. The door was kicked open. The room echoed with gunshots, and Lenin crouched, covering his head. The gunshots stopped at last. The soldier was dead. Above him, a figure, drenched in blood, but of his enemies, not his own. He had a scar next to his eye. "Good evening, Lenin," whispered a voice, a one that was oddly familiar. "It's me, the monarchist filth!" screamed Scar Nicholas II, kicking his arch-nemesis to the ground. "R...Romanov?" croaked Lenin "You...You're alive! How fortunate... I can personally end you!" Lenin grabbed a table leg, and charged. Scar Nicholas II jumped back yelling. He grabbed an antique Cossack sword, and parried. Lenin was thrown off balance. Scar Nicholas advanced, but it was a trick. Lenin kicked out, sending Scar Nicholas to the ground. The Cossack sword flew from his grasp. Lenin grabbed the sword. "Goodbye monarchist filth! Say hello to your Alexandra for me-" There was a gunshot. Scar Nicholas shot the blade of the sword, which splintered, they flew everywhere. When the gun smoke cleared, Scar Nicholas saw Lenin backing away, a sword splinter in his eyeball. "Blyat...." groaned the Communist. Scar Nicholas got up. He pointed his pistol at his arch-nemesis. "You killed my daughters in cold blood, I saw it. I saw my Alexei bleed out profusely. But that was not all. You murdered, snatched Alexandra from me, my wife. I loved her, she was the only one to support me, when Russia turned against me. And you, you sat cowering from your office, ordering my execution. You sent your Bolsheviks against me. Well, they are dead now. I met up with the Czechoslovak Legion, and here I am now." He fired. One shot to the kneecap. "That was for Alexei!" Two more to the privates and three more to the chest. "My lovely daughters!" One to the shoulder. "For the Russian people, who I failed!" He pointed the gun to his sweating enemy's temple. "AND THIS! THIS IS FOR ALEXANDRA!" He fired until the gun clicked. He threw the gun against the wall. It had served him well. Scar Nicholas II walked out, caked in brains and blood. His soldiers looked at him. "Burn the house," he said calmly. Later on in a graveyard, Scar Nicholas II knelt over a freshly dug grave. He was nearly in tears. "Wherever you are, Alexandra, watch over me, I think of you always. I am devastated at your loss, and the loss of our family. But I think I now what you would say. Smile because I lived, don't cry because I died. And I will... Goodbye, my fair wife." As he left, a soldier came up to him. "You called, Tsar?" he said. "Yeah, organise a trip to the Kaiser in Germany," Nicholas replied. He then pulled out something from his pocket, and gave it to the soldier. 100 rubles. The soldier looked shocked. "Keep it!" smiled Nicholas. "Y..Yes my Tsar!" replied the soldier, clearly happy. And as the Tsar walked away, a flock of swans flew over the Kremlin, Scar Nicholas Romanov restored.

Historically speaking, no Wilhelm II wouldn't have known. He had his own problems and trying to get to Holland(The Netherlands was commonly known and preferred to be known as Holland back then. They prefer "The Netherlands" these days even though some still call it Holland, I'm told mostly by older generation people. Even though it's the name of a region within the Netherlands but for centuries it was referred to as such for the whole country. At least that's what I was taught when I asked the difference

I feel like in this scenario, since the guards only managed to fire one volley of shots, his daughters would’ve probably survived. They still had the Romanov jewels sewn into their undergarments, and hadn’t been killed by the initial volley, meaning they probably would’ve survived. Alexei has heamophiliia so he was probably going to die anyway, Alexandra was shot in the head, and 4 servants had no such protection

Actually, Teddy Roosevelt and Nicholas, while never meeting, were actually quite antagonistic. Roosevelt heavily favored the Japanese side at Portsmouth when signing the treaty to end the Russo-Japanese War. He was also very openly critical of Nicholas' authoritarianism and antisemitic policies

Brilliant! Being a big game hunter (an expert shot) and someone in peak physical forms its almost believable. One point could have mentioned that his daughter Olga had a tiny pistol hidden in her boot throughout most of her captivity, but was persuaded to give it up shortly before they moved to Yekaterinburg. Of course during that last year they became very against bloodshed even in an rescue attempt, but witnessing your family being wiped out in front yhou would change that probably.

Actually State Council was founded way earlier than XX century - it was established by Alexander I in 1810 as an advisory legislative body. You can find a mention of the State Council even in Russian literature - "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy mentions that husband of main character Anna, Alexei Karenin is a member of the State Council (the book was written in the end of XIX century). Nicholas II simply adjusted the role of the State Council to the new Duma.

I’m going to assume the White army basically rallied under one cause like in the video he did where the White army wins, however the Red army never rallied like it did historically because Trotsky couldn’t get the White Generals to train his soldiers like he did historically and was killed probably early enough into his efforts that the Reds where crushed like a giant peasant revolt trying to fight a disciplined army.

she could have survived the initial attack due to all the jewels and hidden objects sewn into her clothing for escape purposes and her older sister Olga was known to carry a pistol. Also she and her sisters were trained nurses for the war effort in WW1. Alexei would not have survived regardless but before the birth of Alexei there had been plans to change the Russian constitution so Olga could inherit the throne. There is a lot of leeway to work in with this what if scenario.

I actually broke down crying when reading a good book about the Romanov family. Nicholas and his family were good people. Bad rulers? Yes. Evil people? No. Edit: I wrote this comment 2 years ago. My views have shifted significantly. While I still think the Romanovs being slaughtered was a horrible action (you can never justify the murder of children), Nicholas was far from innocent of any guilt his government committed. He may have not made things worse but he refused to make them any better for the common people either and kept horrible policies in place through terror and force.

You should watch the movie *"Gentlemen Officers save the Tsar"* It's a tribute to classic Soviet cinema but made in 2018 I believe, based on an alternate reality where the whites won the Civil War and then made a movie about it in the 1950s.

@The Nova renaissance Problem was most whites were anti monarchist and saw the Tsar as weak and the reason the Bolshiveks had risen up in the first place. The reason the whites lost is because they fought amongst themselves more than the Red Army. The Tsar surviving wouldn't have changed that.
