It would be nearly impossible to turn this fungus into a viable infection. The human body is too warm and complicated, and there's no reason for the fungus to make such a huge jump. This won't happen in real life, and it's kinda tiring seeing so much misinformation being spread around.

@Geargorex cordyceps can't really grow there since it's too cold, but even if they did, the chances of that specific mutation happening are slim to none. Also, much of the chernobyl area is safe and isn't very radioactive anymore.
