Since nobody ever found this out I thought I'd share it. Funnily enough, its been a thing ever since release :)

What's most surprising to me is how the game manages to make you feel connected to its characters. I never imagined I would grow so fond of Ben, Carey, and (kind of) Ethan in a game about quenching your thirst late at night. Even though the characters have template and stereotypical traits (listed below), I still want to know more about them, specifically their pasts. For example, how did the friends first meet? Carey experienced a lot of bullying and harassment at school, so how did she resolve it? Were her friends the ones who accepted her, thus becoming friends? What troubles did she face exactly? How did the main character meet Ben, and what happened to Ethan at the time? How did the first reset of the world occur, which made Ethan so angry? How is he the only one who can remember exactly what happened and who to blame? The game feels so deep, but I believe there is still a gap when it comes to the friends' pasts, and I really wish we could learn more. There are so many unanswered questions, but no more updates. It's a shame that the game won't address them anymore. However, if it's the designer's choice to give the characters template personalities, then so be it. Of course I would also be curious if the friends manage to achieve their goal and make it out of the game, but it seems like the world always gets reset, which makes the characters not have any future, as they are stuck in a loop. Ben - your typical boy who likes playing rock on the guitar and skateboarding, Carey - your typical girl with an unhealthy obsession with cats and cute stuff, Ethan - your typical psychopath who seemed crazy but was right in the end.

Thank you for the kind words and for enjoying the game's story! It's my first time writing a story with a scope this big, so I'm glad it resonated with at least a few people. You are absolutely CORRECT about the characters being intended to be stereotypes, and it is why they are so heavily tied to a color and a personality. They were designed like that with the intention of being commentary on how many other games in the genre are soulless characters who only serve one purpose (how many times have you seen a "Cashier" character, or a "Friend" character which only ever serve one purpose? do you remember any of them? exactly). I'm glad someone picked up on this! Nobody knows if they ever escape or not, and it's intentionally left up to your interpretation! Altrough you do have the power to reset the WORLD to the state it was when you first joined, and that would completely mess up all their progress. The game leaves it up to the player if they prefer leaving everything as is or if they want to try something different next time, which I think makes for a really good question in the player's mind. Finally, I'm not saying 'no' to a sequel, prequel or spin-off of the original story! I'm just branching out creatively since I've been stuck with this game for around 2 years. They were some really fun 2 years, but I really don't want to burn out the ideas in my head for a game like GADA3. I'm not outright promising a return, but it's a possibility! :)
