@@Droopy95mkDS My problem with most of this is it assumes that people without these useful mutations will die off before having a chance to reproduce. That's how evolution works, camouflaged insects became that way because the non-camo'd variants of itself got eaten over the course of millions of generations. But modern healthcare throws a wrench in that.

@@dallonax2808 has there ever been any indication of that happening? In the long human history, have we actually changed? I'm not talking technical advancements or improvements on the way we do things... I mean deep down, have we shown at indication that we are moving past the old ways of "dominate what you can, destroy what you can't"? There has been so little progress in human evolution, I sincerely doubt that now, as resources become scarcer, we are going to change in any meaningful way that would show we'd advanced.

Been asking on every video and post you guys make for over a month: What if we kept growing at the same rate after puberty ended? How large would we be by the time people typically die from natural causes and how hard would living be? Hmmmm!!!! Land of the Giants. We would need to find more/larger food resources - as if we dont have a short supply of food already. The thing is would the internal organs of a Giant human grow proportionally to the larger size body? We do have several humans that are over 7 foot 5 inches. Several play Pro basketball or do Pro Wrestling. Yeah if we did keep growing in size all our life, it would be scary and freakish.

I suspect that in Mar's low gravity humans would be tall. Axial bones may be thinner but more flexible rather than more brittle. Lung capacity would increase to allow oxygen to be at lower levels, but the Martian atmosphere would need to be thicker with a PaO₂ similar to that of Earth, using a high oxygen percentage in a low atmospheric pressure. Mar's atmosphere could be improved by the release of gases from the martian rock & subsurface materials. This would be a gigantic undertaking. Obtaining oxygen from the soil might only be practical for maintaining habitat oxygen stores. Melanin on Earth protects us from ultraviolet light, not the radiation one normally thinks of: alpha particles, electrons, x-rays, etc. This may be sufficient for the same protection on Mars. The biggest challenge would be from not having the Earth's magnetosphere to protect us from the more traditional radiation.

Despite the fact you have some of the science mixed up, yes changes would happen to humans unless we compensated for the conditions on Mars. I would expect their to be rapid development in adaptive technologies long before we terraform Mars, that’s if it’s even possible to get Mars to hold onto an atmosphere.

@@mappybc6097 Twitter and tiktok themselves are amazing technological feats. The people who use them not so much. That being said, humanity has never let anything contain them, short sighted comments like yours are often the subject of memes decades later. See the news article about how humans will never fly the day before the Wright brothers flew or lord Kelvin saying there was nothing left to discover in physics only more precise measurements (whether or not he actually said this the point stands.)

@@will2brown50 Nice speech. See, problem is the cost of a serious space program is such that only the wealthiest world governments can undertake it. And those world governments? Those care about politics/economics first and scientific progress later, much later. Proof is simply that the last time humans set foot on the moon was 5 decades ago and the only space station in place is falling apart due to lack of maintenance. But money/time is always found for developing autonomous killing drones, high altitude bombers and a myriad of more effective methods of killing other humans. So sorry, it's not a matter of human ingenuity or drive that will stop us, it will be the greed and short sightedness of the people actually in charge. Oh, and the rest of humanity who could actually put pressure on those assholes will be too busy watching Tik Tok and Twitter to care.

@@mappybc6097 I mean ironically I actually agree with you that Twitter and tiktok are release valves for socio-political pressure, but even so, we are seeing private corporations and billionaires invest in space like never before. + We are in a time where private organisations have resources just as large if not greater than nation states (this isn't a good thing but it's led to huge progress in space). Astra, Blue Origin and space X have redefined the industry in a matter of years. I agree, states will never again fund space flight unless for an ulterior motive (china Vs USA Vs India Vs Europe space race possibly) but the last decade has shown that the power of the state is less and less relevant.

It might sound unsavory but artificial insemination with "donations" brought from earth could greatly reduce the number of breeding stock needed on Mars so that no genetic complications from a limited gene pool would exist. At least in the establishment phase. After that, bring on the Martian time travelers from the future that we mistake for the gray aliens from Alpha Two Far Away. 2000 years from now when they have had sufficient time to mutate into an optimal Mars citizen. Just my thought on that.

Can you make a video on What if you were born on Venus as it'd be cool to see what would it be like if a person was born on a floating city in Venus's upper atmosphere. Sure, it rains Sulfuric Acid on the planet and wind speeds can reach upto 100 m/s (224 mph or 360 km/h). But the temperature in upper atmosphere is just 167°F (75°C), which is very comfortable for spacesuits to handle and the pressure is similar to Earth's.
