Yup. No Pilaf Squad, Red Ribbon Army is probably in its infancy or does not exist, something different would have to happen for King Piccolo to be released, near all of the Z Warriors either aren’t born or are children, planet Vegeta probably won’t be blown up for at least 20-30 years (it might take even longer; King Cold’s dad living longer in this would probably make Cold wait longer to give Frieza planet Vegeta, if he does at all), and even that will likely be stopped. The few constants on Earth I can think of are Roshi and his Sister Baba, Korin, Mr Popo and Kami, Tao and his brother Shin. Off world, Guru would be pretty much the same too, and of course all the Immortals like King Kai and Beerus would be the same too.

I'm always down for an expansion of the Frostling clan, and seeing how each ruler treats their empire differently. Watching it change from from an intimidating, all-conquering force (Glacier), to a less brutal and more intelligent --- and exploitative --- business venture (Cold), to pretty much just a tool used by the emperor for their own selfish ends (Freeza and Trogen) almost seems like a natural evolution through the generations.

The impression I'm getting is that there's a brawn-vs-brains dichotomy going on between Ice and Cold's approaches to things, and the reason Glacier is having a hard time choosing a successor is because neither has the right balance of both that he wants. If the problem with Cold (at least in his father's eyes) is that, amid his ambition to grow the empire, he's too soft on his subjects and doesn't use enough force to scare them away from the idea of insurrection, perhaps Ice's perceived flaw is the opposite --- he's good at using military might to maintain order, but isn't the most creative thinker otherwise. It seems like a collaborative effort between the two brothers would be the optimal choice for expanding the empire, but with how succession in this dynasty appears to work it seems that, ultimately, there can be only one chilly fellow running the show. I could speculate what kind of galaxy Gine and her friends will be flying into later, but until we know more about Ice it's rather hard to say. There's a lot we don't know just yet about him and his relationship with his dad and brother.

Yes, yes! This is exactly what I wanted to see out of a What If! I think too many people are afraid of disturbing the basic structure of Dragon Ball, the canon, so they hold back a lot when writing a fan fiction. But I say the opposite - go all out. Your events, your characters, make changes so drastic that it creates a brand new experience, using the world of Dragon Ball to create an original story.

Dood, I've been with you for a good while. I've talked to you once on the Frieza what if, I personally love your channel and everything you do. Plus as a person, you seem chill. Honestly, I'd like to just play something with you. You made it to 500k, to be honest, I thought you had way more than this, my memory isn't the best if I don't check these things. I've been thinking a lot about life, I'm beginning to understand a lot more while trying to learn more. It's hard to think I'm 19... A fighter pilot? Manager? I don't know.. But I'm very thankful for everything around me. You being a part of that, I've lost my touch in dragon ball for the most bit. You've given me a different light into the universe, with this one being super interesting to me. Honestly, I love it! Still, I want to say thank you, not just for storytelling, not just for making the content you do, but for making so many people smile. I can't state how much I want to be like you, to make something and have people come and smile from it. To enjoy and listen, its my dream. Whether it's comicly or like this, storytelling. I don't care, I want to make others happy. Its been my goal all my life, I learned a lot but lack discipline. I'm working more than ever to make myself someone who I want to be. If I may ramble/gush one more time about the Cold family situation, this also works as great insight as to why Cold ultimately chose Freeza as his successor rather than Cooler. One reason may certainly indeed be his ego --- Cold seeing himself as the "superior being," and Cooler therefore being a threat to that title that he will not stand for. But this chapter shows another side to it, specifically through his opinion of Glacier. In Cold's eyes, his father was too stuck in his ways to see the bigger picture, much to their detriment. Glacier was running on what became an outdated paradigm in his later years, and it got to the point that it was only hurting the empire. The culling of the Saiyans was entirely unnecessary, and only served to assuage Glacier's own paranoia about rebellion from his subjects (and in fact almost assuredly sowed the seeds of insurrection into a race that, up to that point, was completely loyal and saw their alliance as nothing but beneficial). So years later, as King Cold started to consider his own successor, it makes perfect sense why he would think Cooler being too much like himself is a problem. If he let the next generation rule things exactly like he did, it could lead to stagnation within the empire at best, and would ultimately be repeating his father's mistakes. He wants the next ruler to be someone who thinks outside the box, who would take risks and try the ideas he himself wouldn't. In his eyes, that's the best way to ensure their legacy endures for eons to come. Thus the creation of Freeza.
