Chris Sarandon (Fright Night, The Princess Bride) joins us this week for an amazing episode full of classic film nostalgia, openness on being humbled at the heights of success, and reflection on an illustrious career. Chris shares several behind the scenes stories of landing roles during auditions including how nerves helped propel his performance during his read with Al Pacino for his break in Dog Day Afternoon. We also talk about which film sent him on a mission of discovery and reflection in Africa, his favorite Andre the Giant story, and his relationship with his first wife Susan Sarandon.

Another underrated actor, like Kevin Bacon or Kurt Russell, who brings great value to any project. Rock on, Chris Sarandon!

When I hear Chris Sarandon's voice, it always reminds me of Jay Mohr doing an impression of Chris Sarandon in Dog Day Afternoon.

When Chris talks about his "otherness", what he actually means is his out of this world handsomeness and good looks beyond comprehension.

Dog Day Afternoon is such a great film! Every actor and supporting actor is amazing! I think that was Chris Sarandon's best performance.

So now he aged so what he still is charming and agreable I must say that I have seen a great number of films in which he starred why mention only the fright night ones and the mad dog after noon of. Course he was nominated for an Oscar but I have seen him in many others that turned me into a fan he disappeared from greek TV and theatres some twenty year ago but I still remember him and surprisingly my sons also do
