In Japanese a chotto means "a little". But in Korean a Jotto means something completely different! Jotto is a slang commonly used in the region called Gyeongsang-do, located in the southeast of Korea. Jotto is often used to express a sentence strongly or swear words! Compared to English, it can be said to be similar to the word 'fuck'.

Ohh! I actually knew the Japanese word (due to excessive anime watching all my life) subconsciously and made that connection instead, but this makes a lot of sense. Thanks for clarification!
