​@@ryukahr Hell is the same level layout as the 4th level you played in this video. (No Spikes, No Pits, No Enemies) I just put more ice, lava, plants that shoot fire and various hazards. The goal of Hell was to showcase how ridiculously low a clear rate can be. But it is, by far, a worse level than "No Spikes, No Pits, No Enemies" that you played in this and struggled on. So please, don't go to Hell. Also sorry about torturing you with the "easy" version. (it wasn't easy)

I mean, it mostly just turned from regular kaizo-esque platforming levels to pure precision levels at the end, and not everyone's a fan of precision levels. I wish Ryu would have acknowledged that instead of just calling the levels bad, though.

@@mintegral1719 Yeah but most of my levels had a hint of precision (the Mission Ascension ones were foreshadowing for "No Enemies No Pits No Spikes", and you could see some tight jumping trends going on in Wiggler Forest, Pokey Desert, Spike Desert, etc.). I don't do much shell jump stuff but precision is... kinda my thing. I even use ceilings to limit movement to add a layer of difficulty (and aesthetics).

Personally, I'd like if Ryu could go back through to world 7 offscreen, skipping all the optional levels, then go see if the non-mandatory levels there are actually good, skipping if they're just suffering. Could also be accomplished if someone sent him like, a list of what levels are in there.

I can do that. I made the world. The optional levels *used to be* 10s speedruns, and that "Hell" level. Not worth it. I also deleted most of those 10s speedruns now and reuploaded a 40 levels version of that Super World. :) Put more alternate routes to give more options if some levels are too hard. Beatable in 29.

Maybe end was just really hard? Gotta go somewhere from the easy levels. Are super world's only good if you stay above 95 lives the whole time? The only possibility I can think of is maybe a good concept level that still kills you alot. In that case the last level was only bad because it was extreme precision level. I wonder what extreme precision level would be fun if that one wasn't.

The final level was only 0.08% (before Ryu. Then spiked to 0.11%! And now it's 0.15%). It's a shame, I guess I can understand maybe it's too hard for a super world. I like it though, it just seems like the perfect ending... for TiltCntrlz.

Ya, I get you Ryu, there's a difference between difficult + fun & difficult + unnecessary pain :') Overall the super world seemed quite fun!

On that topic, I think I have a good comparison: *No Spikes, No Pits, No Enemies* is a level where you can't die, has 500 seconds timer, SMW, can use spin jump to make short hops easier. It is very hard but gives you the tools to be able to beat it. "Difficult + fun". *Hell* is the exact same level layout, but harder jumps, SMB1 so no spin jumps, 60 seconds timer, and more things that kill you. It is obviously harder. "Difficult + unnecessary pain". Of course, "unnecessary pain" tresholds will vary for each player.

I reuploaded the Super World though. It has 40 levels, but I put multiple paths everywhere so you could only play 29 levels to beat it. I tried to rebalance it using Ryu's input from the videos :) More easy levels and fewer hard ones at the end. I added novelty easy bonus levels as optional in the final word instead of torture. TiltCntrlz will always be the finale though....

My Super World is built this way: Starts out with Expert levels, joke "horrible" levels (Autoscroll Pick-a-Path Bossfight, Dark Underwater Spike Maze). Starts going into Super Expert. Introduces gimmicks (Mild getting over it, Snake blocks, timing with The Swap, The Climb, Shell Dodge). Introduces harder gimmicks (Great Balls of Fire, Spiny's Spinal Spin, mild precision in the desert, wall jumps etc) Introduces even harder gimmicks (Boing boing, SMB2 precision) Small break (Stop and smell the flowers) All-out tough stuff (No Enemies, No Pits, No Spikes, TiltCntrlz) So there is a difficulty build up.
