Once someone in my class at university asked “how are you?” Instead of answering with the normal automatic response of “well” or “not bad bro” that most people normally say I paused for a moment. I looked at him and said, “I’m actually pretty fucked up at the moment mate”. We had a long talk about how I was struggling with depression and anxiety and he said some kind words that made me feel a little better in the moment. I may not be fully recovered but I can honestly say I’m feeling better than I was. I also gained another friend. Who would have thought a simple question would result in a new friendship

It not your place to tell anyone they’re adopted or that isn’t your dad! I know because I’m the adopted kid who jelly siblings ruined it for me! Thank god mom and dad loved me! Stay in your lane.

"Are you from England?" A teacher once asked me if i was from England after hearing my accent and seeing that i was reading an english book. I felt bad afterwards because it looks like i speak my native language (czech) so badly that people sometimes think that i am not czech.

Story 28 is absolutely appalling 😮 How could any adult do this to a little child, basically a baby, let alone an adult who has supposedly been trained to work with children? I don't advocate violence but it's difficult to know how anyone would behave faced with these circumstances.

When I was a kid my mother who had just adopted me asked me how old I thought my new dad was and I said 28 because he was extremely fit and looked more like a much older brother than a father and he was actually 40 because he had just turned 40. My mom asked me how old I thought she was and seeing she had deep gray hair and a lot of wrinkles I said 168 and she was 40 as well. Messed up fact is 11 years later I got a Wii and someone gave my mother a Wii fit and her Wii fit age was 179. When the Wii fit said that I reminded her of that time she asked me what age I thought she was. Kids and technology tell you the truth. I have not changed in how I speak. I tell the truth.
