I loved hearing Phil's perspective about the late, great Norm Parker. It seems like every coach at Iowa inherited something from him. Norm's been gone almost eight years now, but every time Iowa wins, I still feel like he was partly responsible for it. I think there's something truly special at Iowa - especially when they seemingly slay Goliath from time to time. When everybody thinks they have no chance, they always find a way to win. That's Iowa's culture in one sentence.

Love to have been a fly on the wall in that Toledo locker room. Butting heads with Saban? Priceless. Thanks Coach!!

Does more to coach guys up than just about anyone. Love being underdogs against Michigan, go Hawks!

I am proud to say I used to cut this man’s whole beef tenderloins. He was somewhat particular about how he wanted them done. I respected the man so much I had no issue at all giving him what he wanted.

Iowa is a terrible team. Their best win is against a penn state team with a backup qb. This will be a blowout
