We do not recommend putting essential oils on lips as your skin is super thin so using just a small amount can burn your lips. You could find a recipe for making your own chapstick and I would recommend using Camphor and Tea Tree. A carrier oil would not be enough to break it down on such a thin layer of skin, unfortunately. Those are wonderful questions! Yes, you can use your favorite carrier oil with this blend. You can leave out the preservative, however, this will reduce the shelf life. Without a preservative, it will only last about two weeks. We hope this helps! 😀😁🙂💚

Ok dumb question: how do you really just put 1-2 tablespoons of carrier oil on your hands with properly diluted essential oils and get it to mix properly? Wouldn't there be risk of getting neat essential oil on the hand or wouldn't most of the blend absorb into the hands instead of other intended areas?

Hi Jessie! We actually do not recommend diluting your essential oils/mixing them in this way! We recommend diluting them in a container first, then putting on the hands or the effected area!

In this video right before 1:07 Retha actually says to add the carrier oil to a teaspoon and drop the EOs in then use hands to apply. That wouldn't mix! I've never tried it as it doesn't seem safe but have always wondered!

Trying to find the right carrier oil for my daughter who lives in the Amazon Jungle (literally). I've been sending her essential oils and to be honest, I didn't send a carrier oil. She is probably using olive oil purchased at market when she is flown into the city.
