One important detail that they never tell you when you apply to physics problems- whenever you do an indefinite integral, and you end up with a constant of integration left over the constant of integration will always have the same dimensions as the integral. Once you realize that, it becomes immediately obvious with the physical significance of the constants of integration is, for example, if you integrate an acceleration, you get a velocity, therefore the leftover constant of integration will also have units of velocity. If you add up an integral that gives you work, and you get constant integration left over, the constant will also have the units of work.
