Feedback of the valve position to DCS is through communication protocol used. Either HART or Fieldbus communication. One is 2 way superimposed 4-20mA signal and latter is 2 way digital signal .

Hello, Can you please explain, if a Double Type relay will work with a single acting actuator. Are there any settings?

Relay A may be used with both Double Acting and Single Acting DVC6200 digital valve controllers. When using relay A as single acting there is an adjustment wheel in the relay that must be set by using a screwdriver. Rotate the wheel adjustment in the upward direction or negative adjustment indicated by the sticker on the front of the relay until the adjustment stops. This will set the Relay up to only operate using output A from the device. does a DVC adjust pressure output to cover for actuator springs that are too stiff? for instance a 2" 10-30 that is only getting 1.5" 10-30, will the DVC ensure it puts 40lbs to the actuator to get that extra 1/2" of travel?

The DVC will continue to adjust output pressure until one of the following takes place: - Travel measured by feedback matches the desired set point - Maximum supply pressure is reached or - Zero output pressure is reached So it will compensate, but that will be limited by supply. However, if you find yourself tempted to continue to up the supply pressure we'd suggest reaching out to your local Emerson sales office to troubleshoot the root cause.

Asl How one pair wire work analog output and analog output Question is if I am in junction box measure mA of valve if dcs send 8 mA and feedback is 12 mA what my Multimeter will show in JB I am confused how one pair wire work both AO and AI

I believe your Multimeter will show the 8mA signal from DCS, you will need something like a 475 to see both input and feedback

Hart is able to transmit input and feedback signal at the same time using slightly differing sine waves, it's also able to send ditigal hart signal along with analog signal at the same time over a single pair. Bell 202 + Analog signal
