Thanks mate! Do these ever get stuck if the machine is too calcified? I have a Bambino Plus that is not pulling any water, although the pump is running. I wonder if the flowmeter is blocked...

Yes, they can block up with calcification. Descaling machines is an important part of maintenance as not only do they block. up, but things like elements become less efficient, probes doesn't register correctly, etc...

@@CoffeePartsTV I found out what the problem was, upon taking apart the machine. An air pocket had formed from the OPV output to the brew group. I had to prime it manually with a syringe. Cheers!

I'd like to know, while assembling these flow meters, does orientation have an effect on accuracy? Like the YFS201, its turbine part should be facing up or down? How are these flow sensors generally oriented?

What I'd like to see is a cost break-down of parts like this and the required electronics. My impression is that features like this are extremely overpriced when you look at the simplicity of the device. Same with the different types of boilers, pumps, and overall build quality of liquid and electrical connections. I seriously fail to see why a machine in the $700 range isn't top-of-the-line other than people are stupid and pay thousands of dollars for relatively simple machines.
