I will by 40 year old this year,, and all these 40 years I was in guilt that I lacked the Basics. This has nothing to do with me now, but I still watch and practice your videos and try to be better thinking that I am back to school. Thank you so much. You are doing a great work here.

im just kinda confused in the part where, do u need to add first or subtract? ik theres a PEMDAS rule but why is here different? anyone help
@Ullol_tdsxtdx3 ай бұрын
Well the PEMDAS rule states that whatever operation is on the left side it will be first done but The operations on the parentheses then the exponents must be prioritized then Multiplication and Division must be done before doing Addition and Subtraction.
@shreemoyeechakraborty382 Жыл бұрын
thank you so much
@PixelPawz2 жыл бұрын
10:48 Based on PEMDAS, shouldn't f(2,3) be -19? f(2,3) = 2(2²) - 3² + 3(2)(3) f(2,3) = 8 - 9 + 18 f(2,3) = 8 - 27 f(2,3) = -19
@t3zmazerunner1282 жыл бұрын
-9 + 18 = 9, not -27. If it was -9 - 18, then it would be equal to -27
@andromedanyxmortem93862 жыл бұрын
You subtract first before adding since you are solving from left to right, not right to left. Just because Addition is ahead of Subtraction in PEMDAS doesn't mean it should always go first. It is just said that after Multiplication/Division(this also applies to these two operations) you then do Addition or Subtraction, depending which comes first. For example: 4 × 5 + 3 - 1 = 22 Addition comes first because it came first before subtraction. In the case of 4 × 5 - 1 + 3, the answer will still be 22 since you first subtracted one then added three. (Idk if this is actually correct because I am currently operating on what remains of my brain cells due to a lot of problems. Like srsly, research problem, algebra projects, statistics quiz, that damned EsP(I am still on the side of replacing this with either ROTC or Philosophy) interview(my teacher is just a boomer who just wants to make our life harder) plus not to mention chemistry. I already have grey hairs and I'm just 13 wth)
@andromedanyxmortem93862 жыл бұрын
Not to mention my algebra teacher talks fast and assumes we know this stuff already despite having two years of modular learning. How does she expect us to remember this?

Me I have a test on the functions on Thursday this Thursday.
@theengineeringstudent26784 жыл бұрын
When you say, it is not a function, what do you mean by that?
@mangomanlassi77793 жыл бұрын
essentially a function is determined if a straight line cuts through a graph ONLY once. So if it cuts 2 or more times, it isnt a function. What you should do is try to draw a graph, then draw a straight line through it and see if it intersects with the graph once. If yes, it is a function.
