That 2nd mortgage isn't a "few hundred" it's basically the same amount as the mortgage you are current paying maybe tiny bit taken off. So pay check to pay check people like the majority of us are don't think of this as helping you at all. Credit card is the better option unfortunately. If you have something major happen to your home. This loan is purely for if your funds are stable.
