So basically middleware in express is what a service is in symphony or nestJS or you could take whole nestJS and say it's a middleware for express if you take that point of view.

See Android is based on a Linux Kernel. So Linux is the OS here, not Android. In case of Windows, the entire UI and the libraries are the parts of Windows OS.
