In Islam, these professions have been praised. There's many Hadiths. Those who earn by their own hands are Allah's friends. The second best way to get money after the booty is to earn by your own hands. Adam AS was a farmer, Idrees AS was a tailor, Nooh AS was a carpenter, and Dawood AS was a blacksmith by profession. But on the complete other hand, the Hindu culture looks down upon these people and has put them in the low fouth caste Shudra. I wish these differences could be abolished becuase it's part of the Hindu culture not the Islamic culture.
