Thank you for your clear pronunciation of "deteriorated". Railways are going to become increasingly important as low energy transport for reduced CO2 emissions. Weight of components will require lightening as battery propulsion takes hold.

Thanks for the in-depth explaination on Twist Fault. Very educational. Is there a video link where I can learn about top fault (which is mentioned in the video)? Thanks.

Are u not supposed to calculate the distance over the difference so like 3000 / 20 which would give u a 1/150 gradient? Rather than the other way round

You can actually go an substract all the way, even with negative values. In Matz this doesn't make a difference. 1 - (-1) = 2 1 + |-1| = 2 You do the second thing. You take the absolute value and add them. When doing a excel sheet of this, you can simply use the simple way of substracting all the way through.

Wet beds seem pretty obvious from the cab, never had one that gave a twist though, they usually seem to cause an even dip across both rails.

From my experience it seems to be early forming wet beds, mostly from voiding of one rail. The wet bed then grows to take in both sides
