That sig will be full of corrosion before the end of the show. Love and carry sig. but they are trash at the moment. No excuse for what they are putting out on the market. You should have Devon Larratt on the Podcast. He was also in JTF2 for 16 years and 7 tours in afghanistan before being wounded. After that he became a World Champion arm wrestler. Cory is correct. You can't usually legally carry anything for self defense against people, anywhere in Canada. It's in the criminal code, becomes a weapon by definition. It's got to be carried for a lawful purpose as a tool, for defense against animals, to play baseball with etc, then if the need arises it can legally be used as a weapon of opportunity. Even pepperspray can only be sold for defense against dogs and bears. There's some exceptions, security guards, police, supposedly there's a law on the books for someone to get a permit in exceptional cases for personal protection, not sure if any issued. And of course Trudeau's bodyguards carry whatever guns they want 🙄

I always say it's not illegal to carry whatever type of "can opener" you want....just incase you get lost and find canned food right 😉 if you're ever asked why you used it as in self defense if it's a can opener ask the cop or judge if they've ever used a butter knife for a screw driver or a crescent wrench as a hammer....

I've had a P365 X Macro for the last 4 months. I absolutely love it. Tremendous gun, perfect for everyday carry. The ONLY complaint I have is that the play on the front of the trigger is rather long, but because the weapon doesn't have a manual safety, I don't mind it. All you need now is a Holosun 507k GR and an Icarus Precision all-aluminum grip! Tremendous gift, Sean.

If someone stabs you in the back or holds a knife to your throat you can’t say “time out let me call the police” life doesn’t work like that. That assailant is gunna hit you with that knife like it’s HAMMER TIME. You have to have an option to be able to have a tool whether it’s a knife or handgun to fight back. The police aren’t going to make it in time YOU are the only person responsible for your safety it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

As a fur trapper up north. I can attest to the fact most of us settle for .22 long rifles that break down into a backpack now. It's not worth the hassle to get and maintain the authorization and hasn't been for about 15-20 years. 😢. Sad because my grandfather has been cornered in the snow with a backpack full of meat and nothing but his 9 shooter .22 revolver. It saved his life that day. He had to jump from WI fall to windfall through 4 ft of snow in the bush, being cjased by the pack, meat on his back for bait, a brush axe, and on snowshoes. I guarantee you the snowshoes helped with snow but sucked on the fallen trees. And also that the axe was more burden than protection at the time. A rifle would never have been a nimble enough weapon that day. These days we have to have the permits for it just to own the revolver at all still. It can not be passed on and will be melted down by the govt when he dies. He could get the permits but they aren't cheap and he's retired. And end of the day he doesn't track through the buch for meals with a backpack full of meat in his 80s but he still does trap. The gun would have to be fully authorized Firstly for use. Secondly it would have to be trigger locked and in a metal case, which is also locked until we reached the trap line where our harvesting rights are. At that point he is the only person allowed to lay a finger on it or any ammo for it whatsoever. And must be very specifically attended to also. You can't just put it on your hip and open carry. It has to stay in the box until use, though can be unlocked to make thus easier. At that point the time opening a box would be better used loading a rifle.....

My EDC is a Glock 17. Recently purchased a 43X simply because I have never owned a single stack. I absolutely love this 43X. I have big hands and the 17 isn't a problem to grip but the way my hands wrap around the 43X is just so much more controlling. Wish Glock would offer all pistols in a single stack or double stack. Wish Glock would also figure out how to get 17 rounds in a slim mag. 43X shoots just as well as my 17. Fits just about anywhere. I have tried both the SIG and S&W pistols and in my opnion the Glock just feels better. To each his own I guess.

I guess its been said here already but just to make it clear, you can only carry a knife suitable in all of the environmental circumstances and only for an expressed purpose other than self defense. Therefore in an urban environment you could only carry a small, typical pocket knife as it could be argued that its purpose is clearly not self defense. You could use it if required for self defense but the mere fact that you carry it would not be considered an offense and you should never say that is its purpose. Similarly, in a hunting situation back in the bush you can have an open-carried buck knife 8 inches long on your belt because it is reasonable in the circumstances to do so but don't be walking in Toronto with it on your belt. It will be a short walk before the local constabulary is notified and you're taken downtown. No concealed or open-carry sidearms may be carried without a "ATC" Authorization to Carry and those are like hens teeth. Not happening.

Too bad. he wont be able to take that Sig home. It was prohibited in Canada due to barrel length before the current changes. Let alone now where there is a freeze on any new imports... sweet gun.
