What abt sex reversal in horse ad donkey
@PocketClassroom Жыл бұрын
Hi, Misbah Hussain! We hope you are doing great. As for your query regarding the sterility/fertility of the offspring of a donkey and a horse, please see the explanation below: (1) a horse mule (a male mule), which is the offspring of a male donkey (jack) and a female horse (mare), is usually sterile and unable to reproduce. This is because horses and donkeys have different numbers of chromosomes, and when they mate, their offspring end up with an odd number of chromosomes, which usually results in infertility. There are some rare instances where a horse mule can produce offspring, but it is very uncommon. (2) a mare mule (a female mule), which is the offspring of a male horse (stallion) and a female donkey (jenny), is also usually sterile and unable to reproduce. This is for the same reason as with horse mules: horses and donkeys have different numbers of chromosomes, and their offspring end up with an odd number of chromosomes, which usually results in infertility. There are rare instances where a mare mule can produce offspring, but it is very uncommon. We hope the explanation above helps. Take care!
