Thank you, I'm still wondering... if you buy a share of the S&P on a chart pattern, what affects what? Is that formed by the indexed companies or because of people buying the S&P? Does that index purchase get divided into the indexed businesses? I know this is a beginner video but maybe someone here has the answer! Thanks in advance!

I’ve invested in the Vanguard S & P 500 myself buts It’s called VUSA, not VOO, however on Etoro you can invest in VOO. I’m from the UK and there was some ruling about not being able to invest in USA ETF’s unless you are a “professional investor” and have a minimum of $30,000 in funds, however Etoro have found a way that you can invest from as little as $50.

With the s and p 500: Does the daily percentage mean it’s up that much from the day before? What do we look at to determine if the if it’s back to its previous high? Like with the pandemic how can we tell the date it recovered to its precious high-or do you just have to look at the graph?

I guess one reason why Nasdaq isn't as tracked as the others is because tech stocks generally outperform the market. By just following the NASDAQ, it might paint a picture that the stock market is only going up.
