Great illustration by the Khan Academy as to how a stroke happens and what damages it can create. It is certainly worth knowing.

I had an ischemic stroke and am crippled. I feel brain damaged because my thinking is way off. My arm is partially paralyzed with no feeling.. When is this recovery suppose to happen? Not to mention my balance is off. I find it hard to understand the down play of a stroke not to mention if you have one stroke you very well have another. A stroke killed my grandfather. At the end if all else fails blame the patient. Typical!
